    Kevin Collins: The Last Walk Home

    On February 10, 1984, 10-year-old Kevin Collins left basketball practice in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood and began the short walk to the public bus stop. Witnesses recalled seeing him speaking with a tall man with a large dog, and then he was gone. Despite a massive search in the San Francisco area, with his face plastered on milk cartons and the cover of Newsweek, no physical trace of Kevin was ever found. A convicted child predator was questioned by police in 1984 but released after witnesses failed to identify him in a lineup. No one has ever been prosecuted for Kevin's disappearance. Kevin Collins became one of the most recognizable faces in America — a face millions saw at breakfast, and yet no one ever saw again.     On September 14, 2007, 14-year-old Andrew Gosden left his Doncaster home in his school uniform, then waited in a nearby park until his family was gone. He slipped back inside, changed into a Slipknot t-shirt and jeans and withdrew £200 from his bank account. then he walked to the train station, where he bought a one-way ticket to London. CCTV caught him leaving King's Cross at 11:25 that morning. After that, nothing. He took his bank card, his keys, and his handheld gaming console, but forgot the charger. A German national was formally named a suspect in 2020, but no charges have been filed. Behind the noise of international coverage, a small child simply disappeared.     Theresa Ann Bier: Vanished in Yosemite

    On the morning of June 1, 1987, 16-year-old Theresa Ann Bier left her uncle's home in Fresno, California, dressed for school. Instead, she went on a camping trip with a 43-year-old friend of her uncle's in the Sierra Nevada Mountains to search for Bigfoot. When the man resurfaced in Fresno days later without Theresa, he said she had wandered off into the woods. He then offered an account stranger than anyone expected. Detectives found holes in his story almost immediately, but after a few attempts to comb the rugged wilderness, no trace of Theresa was ever recovered. Without a body, prosecutors could never bring him to trial. Nearly four decades later, authorities still suspect Theresa was murdered, and no one knows exactly how or why.
