    Beauty Standards Between Africa and Abroad

    100 % English Episode I was speaking with a group of people developing makeup specifically for hot climates—makeup that stays on even when you’re sweating. That led me to ask them about something deeper: how beauty ideals differ between their home countries and countries with cooler climates we talked about beauty standards and personal experiences among participants from different African countries now living in various places, including the UK , Japan and Cameroon. Toru, Chunta, Rose, and Francis shared their perspectives on how beauty ideals differ between their home countries and the countries they currently reside in, touching on topics such as body shape preferences, makeup, fashion, and hair care. 異なるアフリカ諸国出身で、現在はイギリスや日本、カメルーンなど様々な場所に住んでいる参加者たちの間での、美の基準と個人的な経験について話し合いました。 Toru、Chunta、Rose、Francis は、母国と現在住んでいる国の間で美的感覚っが異なるかについて、体型の好み、メイク、ファッション、ヘアケアなどのトピックに触れながら、個別の経験から視点を共有しました。

    Do we preserve languages, or make them dance?

    this episode 100 % English episode but .... 消滅危機言語シリーズ第2弾。 今回は、インドのグジャラッティー語と、カナダ・ケベック州のフランス語について語りました。 これまで僕は、「言葉を守るのは、その言葉を母語とする人たちの役目」だと思っていました。でも、リサーチを重ね、ゲストと対話をする中で考えが変わりました。 当事者だからこそ背負う責任もある。でも、その責任に縛られない第三者だからこそ、言葉に新しい命を吹き込めることもある。 歌い、話し、広めることで、言葉は「保存」されるだけでなく、生き続ける。 だから僕らGlobal Passportチームが選ぶ道は、もちろん―― 「言葉を保存することじゃない。言葉を踊らせること。」 આ અમારી લુપ્તપ્રાય ભાષાઓ શ્રેણીની બીજી કડી છે. આ વખતે અમે ભારતની ગુજરાતી અને કેનેડાના ક્વેબેક ફ્રેન્ચ વિશે ચર્ચા કરી. પહેલાં મને લાગતું હતું કે કોઈ ભાષાને જાળવી રાખવાની જવાબદારી માત્ર તેના મૂળ વક્તાઓની જ હોય છે. પરંતુ સંશોધન કરતાં અને વિવિધ દૃષ્ટિકોણો સાંભળતાં મને કંઈક અલગ સમજાયું. ક્યારેક, જેમને કોઈ ભાષાને બચાવવાની ખાસ ફરજ લાગતી નથી, એ જ લોકો તેમાં ફરીથી પ્રાણ ફૂંકી શકે છે. તેઓ તેને ગાય છે, બોલે છે અને દુનિયા સાથે વહેંચે છે. એટલા માટે Global Passport તરીકે અમે એક સ્પષ્ટ માર્ગ પસંદ કર્યો છે. અમે માત્ર ભાષાઓને જાળવી રાખતા નથી—અમે તેમને નચાવીએ છીએ. Voici le deuxième épisode de notre série sur les langues en danger. Cette fois, nous avons exploré le gujarati en Inde et le français québécois au Canada. Je pensais autrefois que préserver une langue était avant tout la responsabilité de ses locuteurs natifs. Mais en faisant des recherches et en écoutant différents points de vue, j'ai compris autre chose. Parfois, ceux qui se sentent le moins responsables de protéger une langue sont justement ceux qui peuvent lui redonner vie. Ils la chantent, la parlent et la partagent avec le monde. C'est pourquoi, chez Global Passport, notre choix est clair. Nous ne faisons pas que préserver les langues — nous les faisons danser. This is the second episode of our Endangered Languages series. This time, we explored Gujarati from India and Quebec French from Canada. I used to believe that preserving a language was the responsibility of its native speakers. But as I researched and listened to different perspectives, I realized something else. Sometimes, the people who feel the least obligation to protect a language can become the ones who give it new life. They sing it, speak it, and share it with the world. So the path we choose at Global Passport is clear. We don't just preserve languages—we make them dance.

Pacione shared insights about regional dishes from Orvieto, including local specialties . Explained how Italians typically cook at home rather than relying on convenience stores or fast food, making weekly shopping trips to local markets. Giuseppe discussed spicy dishes from Bari,and traditional ingredients . while both participants discussed Italy's approach to fusion cuisine.
