I’ve been listening to Lenin L for about 20 years now. Well, not exactly, ‘cos when I moved to Japan 2001, there were no Podcasts...
But since he started Podcasting, Phillip has helped keep me reasonably sane, always covering a broad range of topics, yes, politically usually from a leftist point of view (which is fine with me), but surprisingly this is not always the case, perhaps more than his big, Red, pacemakered heart would want to admit to!!!
Anyway, living in a crazy place like Japan, or anywhere outside of Australia, I guess many expats would understand, Philip and his guests always supply a sense of grounding. Reality. In such an ever increasing & complicated world, as he would say “this is such a tonic”!!! (Much love to Laura & Bruce!)
Cheers Philip & the crew! I really appreciate the great work that you do!
P.S. Whoever chooses your musical interludes is a f#####g genius! Keep up the good work! (Anyway of showing what songs were played?)
(I still remember listening intently to the interview with Gorbachev on my way home, after a gruelling shift at work. Elated. Like I said, “Essential!”)
