Having worked in radio in the UK, I am excited to bring you this episode with JJ Thompson & Katie Overy.
JJ is currently hosting the 104.8 Channel 4 Breakfast Show alongside Nimi Mehta. Katie helped launch Dance FM in the UAE co-hosting the breakfast show before moving to Heart 107.1. She left Heart 107.1 in 2020 and is now working as a cover host on talk radio station Dubai Eye 103.8.
I could have gone on for hours, JJ & Katie are incredibly open and honest with how they have seen the growth in UAE radio, where radio can improve, as well as giving us an insight into 'radio politics'.

On this episode, I speak to International DJ Scottie B & entrepreneur Adam Cotier about the current club culture within the UAE.
We talk about the lack of dance floor culture within the UAE as well as why DJ’s do not get paid on time.
The main question on everyone's lips is why can’t DJ’s play at multiple venues in Dubai and it's clearly possible with the way Scottie B is currently operating in the region.

On this episode, I chat with Dubai musicians Jay Abo & Gari Deegan. They have both competed in the hit TV show 'The Voice' and are both constantly singing across the UAE.
In my opinion, they are good enough to compete on a global level so I wanted to know why they haven't.
We talk about their experience on reality TV shows, the UAE music scene, the issues around relying on corporate gigs, and what is needed to be put in place in this region to give support to local artists.
