Thanks to John, Craig and all their guests for providing a wonderful show into the world of screenwriting. Their insight into the writing process has helped me in every writing genre (novels, short story, etc.). This show will help you learn all the things about writing a script that you didn't know went in to writing a script. Thanks again.

there are plenty of podcasts about hollywood filmmakers, but this is the only one i know that is actually BY hollywood filmmakers. as an aspiring screenwriter (yeah, another one), it's immensely useful to hear about the week-to-week ups and downs of two successful, WORKING writers. while being very personable hosts, john and craig are also honest (brutally so at times) about the craft and the business of screenwriting, and not afraid to give advice that listeners might not want to hear. this makes a refreshing change from the usual guff i hear and read on screenwriting (i.e. "just buy my book and you too will be a hollywood player") and gives this podcast an integrity lacking in many others. the only minor criticism i can think of is that john and craig sometimes over-emphasise the negatives of their job. while i want to hear the uncensored truth, it would be nice to occasionally hear about the brighter side of their career, the moments when they think "yeah, this is why i do this." but that's a small gripe about a show that i look forward to every week, and it might not be as fun as listening to craig take umbrage!
