Like every gaming podcast, the panel on The Starlight Megaphone talks about the games they've been playing and the gaming news. But they add to the basic formula by also talking a bit about anime, the sport of Cricket, and reading some fantasy literature.
Now if you're like me, you don't listen gaming podcasts to hear about anime, sports, and books. Despite that, I can't stop listening each week because of the value they bring to the gaming portion. They are completely uninhibited by industry politics and say the things that the more corporate podcasts would never say. You can always be certain that they are not pandering to the audience or game developers. The host of the podcast, Lusipurr, is in the 1% of art connoisseurs. He's played every game, listened to every song, read every book, watched every movie. . . The man is insane. I don't think he sleeps. The opinion of one who has done so many things that I have not is valuable to me. I also enjoy the cynical point of view from which they tackle the news stories. It's different from everyone else.
