    Episode 30 of the STEMusic Podcast Features Aerospace Engineers Fernanda Quezada and Lynette Gacheri. This is the first episode where we have a catch up conversation with guests who have already been on the podcast. Fernanda gives us an update on her career sharing her journey from design engineer to stress engineer while Lynette shares her journey of going from being an engineer to leading engineers.     Episode 25: Derek Morgan [Aerospace Engineer & FAA Aircraft Certification Chief of Staff]

    Episode 25 covers Derek's journey of how he grew up interested in physics, astronomy, and hydroplane racing which leads him to pursue aerospace engineering. Derek shares his journey of how a change in his first internship assignment at Cessna Aircraft would first disappoint him but ultimately open a door to a career in Flight Test Engineering that he would love. He also shares how his professional engineering trajectory would transform into leadership roles due to his ability to listen to helpful mentors along his career path. Towards the end of the episode we learn about the power of mentorship and investing in community when Derek shares stories from his experience volunteering in a Wichita Kansas non-profit organization.     This Next Generation Episode highlights one of our 2022 STEMusic Book Scholarship Winners Malayekia Miapeh! She shares how she got interested in STEM through the example of her mother and her natural curiosity. Malayekia explains how she watched her mother excel as a nurse and how that moved her to want to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. She also shares her experience moving from Liberia all the way to North Carolina and how becoming a nurse may ultimately allow her to return to her homeland. She shares how she got interested in STEM through her love of math and some encouragement from a very helpful teacher. Sydney explains how she fostered her love of STEM through Project Lead the Way Engineering courses and ultimately landed on Electrical Engineering as her area of focus for her college degree. She also shares her experience as a summer intern for Raytheon before she dives into her love of dance revealing how she made history with a ballet company in Wichita Kansas!
