A book club podcast hosted by two sisters who love reading and traveling for outdoor adventures. Each month, my sister and I select, read, and discuss a book. Because we’re also very into being outside hiking and camping, we try to tie what we’re reading into places that we’re traveling. The Ghost Cat

If you're interested in a sometimes light-hearted, sometimes sad, but always interesting romp through time on tiny cat feet, then you'll love this month's book. This month, Ana and I are joined by Zack Henderson to discuss The Ghost Cat by Dr. Alex Howard, also known as @housedoctoralex on TikTok. Take a listen and let us know your thoughts on the book! 7 Marchmont Crescent is actually a real place. You can see the street view by following this link. Devolution

After a little hiatus due to an episode that will forever and always be referred to as The Lost Episode, we're back, baby, and I'm going to kick us off with a joke. What has a volcanic eruption, Sasquatch, and an a CPA with an anxiety disorder? This book! Join me, Ana, and our guest Nikki as we discuss Devolution by Max Brooks in our inaugural YouTube episode! Also, please forgive my sound quality on this episode. My toddler ran away with the cord for my microphone, so I had to use my AirPods to record. One day we'll get this sound thing figured out. Sineater

You know what we love? A horror novel. You know what we don't love? Cannibalism. We're joined this month by Lauren Bohman, a TRUE bibliophile, to discuss Sineater by Elizabeth Massie in all of its depraved glory. We don't recommend eating a big meal before reading this book or listening to this recap as parts of it get quite...ahem...distasteful. The God of Small Things

In this month's episode that is exactly 2 weeks late (sorry everyone!), we discuss Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things with our guest Staci Love. Staci visited India right before we recorded this episode, so she has some interesting stories and insights into the book. You'll learn how we feel about topics ranging from the caste system to intrafamilial relationships to small independent movie theaters. TL;DR: did we love this book? No, mostly because it's veryvery sad, but we did like it enough to potentially reread it at some point in the future.
