Ivan Kupala is a traditional Slavic holiday that existed long before the baptism of Kyivan Rus. Kupala was one of the annual mermaids, which began on the day of the solstice in June. The last day - Horpina Kupalnytsia fell on July 6, and Kupala began after lunch and lasted all night.
