Global Watch Indigenous Peoples Watch 4/7/26 6am JT

Mary F opened the Watch acknowledging her gratitude and impact to Merekaraka having brought such an amazing message on the previous Watch on how a laid down life looks like.A powerful song “Make Room” also highlighted the theme throughout the Watch. "Shake up the ground of all my traditionBreak down the walls of all my religion.Your way is better, Your way is better..."She shared that in the history the indigenous people it had not always been that noble to be a missionary, it came under threat, great scrutiny about who they are. Mary delved deeply into Zechariah 12:9-10 and focused on numerous points whilst proclaiming there's a time for repentance, there's a time for prayer that needs to begin to take place, an awakening to see each one’s purpose. The need for acknowledgment to take place, for the indigenous to recognise Him whom they have pierced the responsibility bared, repentance to come, conviction that comes with that acknowledgment. She spoke of her own struggle with judging those who practice wickedness and the Lord’s given insight.Merekaraka was invited to comment and spoke of how the message resonated with her, of her people’s need for coming into that place of repentance, and the hurts of religiosity and what the church has done. There was acknowledgement of what had been taken from them as a people group. She then prayed prophetically followed by the prayers and sharing of others. The Watch concluded with Communion based on Luke 22:19-20
