    Recorded live on September 2, 2026, this Vision Cast has Stacey in the host chair, broadcasting through Backpack Studio, with JC, Rita, George, Donald, Preston, Phillip, Nora, Veronica, Aaron, and Salvis on the audio controls. The family opens by holding Phillip close after the loss listeners heard about last week: his mother Teresa passed away on Thursday afternoon , and Stacey and Donald have recorded a tribute show for KSRN filled with her favorite artists, with the air date to be announced. Phillip thanks the cast for their thoughts and prayers and shares that a joint memorial service is being planned for his mother and father. Then the tech engines start. Donald unveils his biggest Super Hit Mix Radio upgrade yet: with ChatGPT as his coding partner, he built listener-selectable genre streams, from country and R&B to smooth jazz and oldies, running through Cloudflare tunnels with no port forwarding and no DJ chatter. Preston, arriving fresh from burgers on his George Foreman grill, announces the on-demand Genre Spotlight Library and his trip to a state convention in Hershey this November. KSRN gets a schedule shake-up: Music Mayhem moves to Tuesday afternoons at 4 PM Pacific while George takes over Friday nights, and the station starts collecting general and holiday listener messages ahead of an October 7 test day, with the hotline at 513-993-9036 . The cast also votes on whether KSRN should become the "Crazy Spirit Radio Network" and overwhelmingly decides that Stacey stays in the name. Stacey strikes again in the AI-music department with a gleefully crude AI-generated country song roasting George and the gang's "doodles" inside jokes, and JC's randomness segment follows with a live demo of To Be Said Pro, a Mac text-to-speech app where he builds custom AI voices, Southern accent included, and exports them to audio files.     Remembering Dolly Parton & Tim Curry, AI Songs & Retro Trivia (Vision Cast 2026.08.26)

    Recorded live on August 26, 2026, this Vision Cast gathers nearly the whole family. Rita hosts, joined by JC, George, Donald, Stacey, Willow, Nolan, Preston, Nora, Phillip, and Salvis running the playout system. The episode opens with tributes to two 80-year-old legends the world lost this week: country music queen Dolly Parton, remembered warmly by Rita, and screen icon Tim Curry, whose passing Phillip brings to the show. The mood lifts with an AI-generated music showcase played out by Salvis, from a merciless "Raiders Suck" parody roasting Phillip's beloved football team to two gospel-flavored anthems celebrating JC's 35th birthday with his church family, and an emo-rock West Coast friendship track from Nolan. On the tech side, Stacey explains how she plays the classic 90s trivia game You Don't Know Jack on modern Apple hardware using Shadow PC cloud gaming and Loopback audio routing, with a bonus gameplay episode in the works. Nolan's Technology and More, Nolan's brand-new podcast and YouTube channel, is officially live, and Donald has loaded Super Hit Mix Radio with a mountain of fresh EDM. Stacey's new Zoom Workplace Business line lets her help with hosting duties while Madison is away until November, and Willow returns after a long absence with a new name, sharing with George the news that the two of them are back together. Rita celebrates her mother's 63rd birthday with Costco pizza, hot wings, and a Dolly Parton cookbook recommendation.     The crew rolls out the presidential treatment for JC's birthday, and for one night only, Stacey James takes the host chair ("I am the host here, and I call order in this court") while Salvis runs engineering. The fullest panel of the summer: Stacey, JC, George, Rita, Preston, Veronica with Aaron, Nora, Phillip, Donald, and Nolan Parish, back on the network. Knowing JC's faith and his Delight worship-team roots, Stacey builds him a full gospel church Happy Birthday Hymnal in Suno AI, booming preacher and full choir, played on behalf of the whole team, then follows it with a smooth R&B gospel tribute that JC says sounds "almost like Boyz II Men." Stacey's running check-in all night: "Are you crying yet, JC Doodles?" JC digitizes and plays two treasures from the family archive: a 1999 recording of eight-year-old JC working a button-powered Winnie the Pooh talking storybook, and a Christmas morning 1995 tape of tiny JC honking the horn of his brand-new magic steering wheel toy car until the whole family begged for mercy. The panel melts. Fresh from the day before, JC also recaps his horseback ride on Daisy, a big smooth-riding horse at the Winslow Horse Therapeutic Center, complete with an audio clip he converted with the Z-Edit app, snack-feeding the horses, and a teaser that Winslow runs horse riding shows in September. Veronica brings Aaron along and shares the news the panel has been hoping for: "We decided to get back together yesterday." The crew erupts. Later, Veronica takes the virtual stage with her acoustic guitar for a heartfelt live song. Nolan Parish is back on the network, announcing his technology show is returning to Spotify, iHeartRadio, and Apple Podcasts (with Audacy in his sights), then showing off his production chops with a karaoke-plus-instrumental cover of Owl City's "Fuzzy Blue Lights" built with Audio Hijack. George's verdict: "awesome job, that was perfect." Stacey also shares her Mac survival story: a failed home-folder update spirals into full recovery mode, complete erase, macOS reinstall, and a slow rebuild of every file and program, all while she's been helping Madison with baby Noah. A night of "technology, randomness, fun, and who knows what else" - George's words - with two returning faces and one big radio-history moment. Haylie is back: after a rough patch and some air-clearing between friends, George dedicates the evening as Stacey and Haylie Appreciation Night, and Haylie is officially back on the team - despite an afternoon spent battling a partially flooded apartment. Nolan Parish announces the official comeback of Nolan's Technology and More. His new fully accessible production workflow runs on zEdit - the VoiceOver-friendly editor the crew has championed since its AppleVis App of the Month win - merging all his audio and video in one pass. Coming up: interviews with clients and staff of the Center for Growth and Independence in Michigan, on-the-ground audio from a recent softball event, and an invite-only, monitored email list for distribution. Nolan also shares a karaoke instrumental of Owl City's version of "Enchanted." Preston records radio history: Baltimore's longtime classic rock outlet 100.7 The Bay is shutting down after its sale to K-Love, and Preston is capturing the station's final sign-off - audio he'll feature on the Radio Connection Live podcast on YouTube. The retro gold of the night: JC discovers that a developer has ported the legendary DECtalk synthesizer to iOS as a standalone app (GitHub download, Android port too) and plays a live demo. Perfect Paul lives again on a modern iPhone, along with Beautiful Betty, Huge Harry, Frail Frank, Dr. Dennis, Kit the Kid, Uppity Ursula, Rough Rita, and Whispering Wendy.
