    Finding Peace in the Promised Land: A Radical Moderate’s Vision with Aryeh Green

    Aryeh Green A "radical moderate" author, activist, business exec, uplifting speaker - promoting peace, democracy, healing and success for over 4 decades. Latest book: 'Finding Peace in the Promised Land' Aryeh Green is the author of a new book, Finding Peace in the Promised Land, proposing a radical new approach to resolving the Arab-Israel conflict, and of My Israel Trail, about his hike on the 700-mile Israel National Trail and overcoming personal challenges. He serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Gigawatt Global, developing renewable energy projects in Africa (based in Jerusalem), and head of its US non-profit affiliate, Gigawatt Impact. Aryeh also serves on the board of Jerusalem’s Maaleh Film School, the onlyJewish film school in the world, and a number of other non-profit organizations. Aryeh has been a policy advisor to Natan Sharansky and a business executive and consultant for the past four decades, and continues to be active in promoting freedom and democracy in the Middle East. He was co-founder and director of MediaCentral, a Jerusalem-based project providing services for the foreign media in Israel, for over a decade. Aryeh was born in Washington DC, a descendent of one of the first Jewish families in North America (who arrived in 1690); he grew up in San Francisco, went to UC Berkeley, and has lived in Israel for 40 years. He holds a BA in psychology from UC Berkeley, an MA in international relationsfrom Hebrew University, and a Masters in business management from Boston University & Ben Gurion University. Aryeh was married in 2015 to Miriam, and they live in Beit Shemesh (the “House of the Rising Sun” in loose translation).  Between them they have 9 children and 9 grandchildren… and when not playing with his grandchildren, aside from hiking all over Israel (or talking about it), when not promoting regional peace, renewable energy and accuracy in the media, Aryeh grows grapes and makes wine.
