Listeners will hear commentary on the performers, and composers before listening to side one. Aaron will share remarks, anecdotes and asides relating to his personal experiences as a musician. Then we flip over to side two and enjoy the rest of the music. Aaron lives in Des Moines with his wife and two daughters, maintains an active performance schedule, has a thriving guitar studio, and does his best to balance musicianship with family life.

    Spanish Music For Guitar- Odyssey 32 16 0113, 1967 Mono reissue of the 1962 original Renata Tarrago 1927-2005 Catalan guitarist Torroba Concierto de Castilla Side 1 Selected Solo Works Side 2 Side 1 Adagio, Allegro Moderato Lovely opening movement, lots of bravado.  Movement ends like a sportscar zooming into the garage Andante Listen for the bells about 2 minutes in.   Has a very “Disney-like” feel for the bulk of the movement Ends with an a la Scaffold Berlioz-esque Andante, Allegro Moderato Much anticipation in the introduction The bells return in the Allegro Moderato Once again, the sports car motive come back to end the piece Side 2 Andante Largo, Fernando Sor She plays this like how most people play Sor…dry and unimaginative Preludio in G Minor, Renata Tarrago Barcarolle feel, nice composition Minuetto in D Major Op. 11 No. 5, Fernando Sor Andante from Sonatina in A, Federico Moreno Torroba Static performance, the studio slapback does not bode well En Los Triagles, Joaquin Rodrigo “In the wheatfields”
