@easydoublepod is a running podcast hosted by Ryan, Dean and Eoin. We all come from very different backgrounds but have ended up as training partners in Perth, Australia. Generally we talk about running a bit too much, whether that be shoes, nutrition, training, performances, conspiracy theories or just poking fun at each other. Our long runs often take us down some rabbit holes and we thought it could be both insightful and humorous to explore some of these on a podcast. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, contrary to our approach to training. Welcome to the Easy Double Club.

    We are so excited to bring you bi-weekly shows in the lead up to London Marathon with 3 men from the elite field. Tim Vincent: 2:09PB, fresh off representing Australia in the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo last September, excited about making his Major Marathon debut. Jake Smith: Back to his best with a 61:50 showing at Barcelona Half, returning to London to try and improve on his 2:11 last year. Jake Barraclough aka @RanToJapan: YouTube sensation who will do absolutely anything that it takes to close the gap to the other boys. Will we see any 300km weeks as he tries to improve on his 2:14PB from Tokyo. We hear about what the lads have been up to in the past few weeks as Tim and Jake Smith both raced half marathons. RanToJapan is teasing us whether he will make the Tokyo start line this weekend - will he? We discuss the different coaching set ups and backgrounds the lads have, all having different sponsors.     Episode 53 opens in classic Easy Double fashion — bird attacks, gym chat and a brief debate about whether anyone should ever run a marathon in jeans — before we get into one of the biggest weeks of distance running so far this year. We dive deep into Keely Hodgkinson’s indoor world record, unpacking not just the time but the authority of the performance. Has she shifted from championship racer to era-defining middle-distance force? What does this mean for the global 800m picture heading outdoors — and who, realistically, can challenge her right now? From there we head to Castellón 10k, where the roads absolutely lit up. European records, outrageous depth and another reminder that road 10k running has entered a different stratosphere.     FlyCarb & The Masterminds Behind It All

    On this episode of the EasyDouble Podcast, we are delighted to be joined by the two founders of FlyCarb, Jack and Joshua.     EDP49: Two World Records at New Balance Indoor Grand Prix / Boston Marathon Elite Fields

    We kick things off this week with a recap of some indoor action. We start in Boston where Cam Myers wins the 3000m in 7:28, while there are also some very strong runs from the Irish duo Andrew Coscoran and Nick Griggs. In other events, Americans run riot with Josh Hoey and Hobbs Kessler running record-breaking times. Previews: The Boston Marathon releases their elite fields and they do not disappoint, with top Americans and Aussies hitting the start line. The Marugame Half Marathon in Japan releases their elite fields, with a lot of athletes heading to Boston using this as a warm-up race. Double Trouble is headlined by Turkey's attempt to sign Kenyans to their country—yes, they are trying to buy Kenyans to run for them.
