If we, even in part, live according to the world, then we are susceptible to the doubt and fear within it. Without full, complete, wholehearted commitment to Christ, any joy we build will be temporary, shallow, and within the confines of our own power. But God offers so much more! In Christ, entirely in Christ, there is eternal, deep, and founded in the power of the almighty God! How do we get there? Here are some things that can help. 1) Pray for God's Help - and Believe He Will Provide It.  2) Identify your Mission - Why God Saved You.  3) Build your life around Time With God. 4) Remove what Dulls your Spiritual Appetite. 5) Tie Every Role in Your Life to Your Mission. 6) Surround Yourself with People who are ALL IN.

Not just one day, but today. We are seated with Him in a place of protection, help, and assurance. He is with us always, even right now, and with Him comes omnipotence and glory. We are saved, secured, and safe. It is only from this seat that we can truly walk. And I don't mean just get up and start walking. I mean that what is true spiritually remains true: you are seated with Christ, even as you walk. The walk reflects the relationship. It is not an effort to validate what Christ did or to pay Him back. It is not a debt owed. It is a life of hope in Him. The devil will attack. He will try to ruin our confidence. But he is a loser. He has lost. We are on Mount Zion; he is in the valley of despair. We have the high ground in Jesus Christ, and the power of Christ to hold that ground. Sequence is crucial. You cannot stand if you are not seated, nor walk. Begin with Christ, pray about what is true, find joy in who you are in Him and who He is for you. And walk with life and stand with strength—His strength.

That last one is HUGE. Here are 8 things Romans 8 teaches that the Holy Spirit is doing. You do not have to explain them. But you must BELIEVE. And pray for these things.  - He Sets Us Free (8:1-2) - He Dwells In Us (8:11) - He Gives Life to our Mortal Bodies (8:11) - He Helps us Defeat Sin (8:13) - The Spirit Leads us (8:14) - He Testifies with us (8:16) - He Helps our weaknesses (8:26) - The Spirit Interceded in prayer (8:26)

Holy Living: Fight Sin and Win in Christ  • Romans 6:11-14 – “Sin shall not have dominion over you.” • Galatians 5:16-25 – “Walk in the Spirit… the fruit of the Spirit.” • 1 John 1:5-9 – “He is faithful and just to forgive.” Questions: • What specific sins have been plaguing your heart and life? • What patterns, places, or habits make this temptation overwhelming? • How does a personal connection to Christ make a difference? Exercises: • Pair up a fruit of the Spirit daily that opposes your sin. • Remove or minimize a factor that leads to your downfall. • Share your struggle with a trusted believer who can help. 8. Living on Mission: Do the Work God Has Planned  • Ephesians 2:8-10 – “Created in Christ Jesus for good works.” • Romans 12:4-8 – “Having gifts that differ, use them.” • Matthew 5:14-16 – “Let your light shine before others.” Questions: • What do you know God wants to see more of in your service? • Can you recall a time when such was central to your day and life? • The work is the people. Will you start with one person this week? Exercises: • Write down a generic mission and three possible specific actions. • Pray for opportunities, open doors, and wisdom to identify them. • The work is the people, pick a person or family and get started. 9. Do Hard Things: Invite Suffering for the Sake of Growth  • James 1:2-4 – “The testing of your faith produces endurance.” • Hebrews 12:1-11 – “He disciplines us for our good.” • 1 Peter 4:12-13 – “Rejoice as you share Christ’s sufferings.” Questions: • What does God want from you that is hard to do faithfully? • Are you willing to suffer for it, or is cost and pain off limits? • Will you accept help, support, or accountability partnerships? Exercises: • Pray to register difficulty as opportunities to explore. • Clearly note the forward-looking why for a hard thing. • Plan something specific

    Revelation 22 - Daily Bible Devotional

    Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks! Revelation 22   John sees a river of the water of life flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb, clear as crystal. On either side of the river stands the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit and offering healing to the nations. There will be no more curse, and God's servants will see His face and reign with Him forever. The angel tells John that these words are trustworthy and true. Jesus declares that He is coming soon and bringing His reward and judgment with Him. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. The book ends with a final invitation to come and freely receive the water of life in the name of the coming Lord Jesus and to enjoy His unmatched grace.       God offers us the water of life, flowing from His throne, freely and without cost. The tree of life brings healing, and we will see God's face and serve Him forever. This beautiful promise calls us to live with the enduring hope of reigning forever and ever. Jesus came in judgment against Rome in the past, and He is coming again; we must be ready. Our lives should reflect the light of Christ and the truth of His word. We are called to obey, to worship, and to invite others to come and receive this life. As we wait, let us live faithfully, trusting in the One who is coming again and joyfully knowing His grace is with us.     Heavenly Father, we praise You for the promise of eternal life and the hope of seeing Your face. Thank You for the river of life and the healing that flows from Your throne. We long for the day when the last curse will be gone and everything will be made new. Help us to obey Your word and remain faithful as we wait for Christ, the Alpha and the Omega. Fill our hearts with worship, and may we invite others to receive Your gift of life. Come, Lord Jesus. Prepare us for Your final return with joy and hope.     Thought Questions:   Do you long for a life without the curse of sin or the danger of darkness? How important is heaven to you, and how are you showing it?   Jesus came in judgment against Rome many centuries ago. Do you believe He is coming again one final time, and how does that affect you?   When you read Scripture, do you hear Christ calling you? How will you come to Jesus, abandon sin, and experience His grace today?
