    Wisdom Starts Here

    What do you think of when you hear the phrase "The fear of the Lord"?  Most men hear that phrase and picture a God who wants them shaking in their boots — so they either tune it out or quietly keep their distance. But that misread might be the exact thing standing between you and the wisdom you keep asking for.  This week's host Daniel Burgos continues our study in Proverbs by focusing on the foundation of a wise life — what it actually means to respect God, and why seeing Him clearly is the thing that finally gets a man to stop trusting his own answers and start listening. Proverbs 9 calls the fear of the Lord the beginning of wisdom, which means every man trying to figure life out on his own instinct is starting from the wrong place and wondering why he keeps getting it wrong.
