    On August 22nd, 1922, LA police found Dolly Oesterreich locked in her closet and her husband Fred, shot dead. Dolly professed her innocence, but police were certain that she played a hand in Fred's death.     Oscar Slater and Marion Gilchrist with Fred Cooke

    On 21st December 1908 socialite Glasgow socialite Marion Gilchrist was found dead shortly after 7pm, after her maid Helen discovered her having been bludgeoned to death in the dining room.     In 1961 Michael Rockefeller, the son of the prominent politician and businessman Nelson Rockefeller, disappeared in the swamp of Papua New Guinea while collecting art for his father's New York museum.
