Isaiah Williams can’t separate his nightmares from reality. After disappearing in the Monongahela Forest with his brother Gabe, Isaiah emerged from the woods the lone survivor. Now, while attempting to return to a new normal with his family, Isaiah finds that harrowing events continue to haunt him –- a dark secret from deep within the woods won’t let him rest.

While the investigation into Gabe’s disappearance continues, Isaiah calls in his fellow Marine and best friend to bail him out of trouble. Detective Michelle Reid is faced with yet another missing persons case, this time of a town councilman. And the clues left behind point to a strange connection with none other than Isaiah Williams.

After Isaiah reveals his secret to Kat, the duo attempts to track down answers to what might be happening to him. Michelle informs Ashley about the DNA results from Gabe’s backpack, confirming that he most likely is dead, but Michelle isn't convinced his presumed death was accidental.

Kat convinces Isaiah they may need to take a more direct approach to come face-to-face with who – or what – he becomes during his blackouts. Meanwhile, Isaiah’s erratic behavior forces Ashley to reconsider his role in the family.

Michelle pressures Isaiah for answers about Gabe while Kat shows up at the Williams home after her run in with the Mordeo. Determined not to be kept in the dark any longer, Ashley sets out to uncover Isaiah’s secret.

Michelle discovers the truth behind the creatures known as the Mordeo as Ashley tries to grapple with what she witnessed in the woods the night before. In order to help keep those he loves safe, Isaiah takes drastic measures to stop the monster within.
