    Donald Trump's dirty DOJ leadership has not only decimated the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, but they've actually weaponized that division to PERPETRATE civil rights abuses.     Trump's DOJ Vindictively Indicts James Comey AGAIN!

    The lawlessness of Donald Trump's Department of Justice continues, unbated. The DOJ just vindictively indicted James Comey, again! Recall that a federal judge threw out the last indictment against Comey. As ABC News reported: "James Comey indicted again, this time over seashell Instagram post. Trump claimed the "86 47" written in seashells was an assassination threat." This indictment is also destined to be thrown out, for two reasons. First and foremost: James Comey committed no crime. Second, James Comey has a due process right against being vindictively prosecuted. To prove he committed no crime, James Comey could call as his first witness at trial . . . the dictionary. This from the Merriam Webster dictionary: "86 is slang meaning to throw out, to get rid of, or to refuse service too. It comes from the 1930s soda counter slang, meaning that an item was sold out . The other thing likely motivating this indictment is that Pam Bondi got fired, and the prevailing wisdom is because she didn't successfully prosecute any of Donald Trump's perceived enemies. So this looks like Todd Blanche's desperate attempt to keep his job as acting Attorney General by prosecuting Trump's perceived enemies.     Another Trump Vindictive Prosecution is DOA!

    DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro has announced she's closing the criminal investigation into Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. But she also announced that she can reopen it in the future. Given that Republican Senator Thom Tills has announced that he will not confirm Trump's replacement for Powell until the DOJ's investigation of Powell has concluded, this seems like a transparent and cynical ploy by Trump and Pirro to placate Sen.     Trump's Attorney General Destroys DOJ's Independence!

    Donald Trump's flunky, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, has sure taken a play out of Donald Trump's playbook regarding how to undermine the rule of law. Just say it out loud - announce your wrongdoing in the harsh light of day - so maybe people will think there's nothing wrong with what you're planning to do. But there is so much wrong with Todd Blanche's attempted destruction of the independence of the Department of Justice. His latest wrongdoing? He said the DOJ will start taking criminal referrals DIRECTLY FROM THE WHITE HOUSE! This is exactly the kind of corruption and abuse of power that we saw with Richard Nixon during the Watergate era. In fact, in the aftermath of the Watergate scandal, guardrails were put in place to prevent a president from being able to use the DOJ to go after his perceived foes. Todd Blanche has proudly announced he is tearing down those guardrails. He should probable remember that Nixon's attorney General, John Mitchel, went to prison for the corruption that defined Nixon's presidency.     Judge REJECTS Trump's January 6 Immunity Claim

    Donald Trump is still being sued for what he did on January 6, 2021: launching an attack on the United States Capitol to steal a presidential election from the American people. He is still being sued by several police officers who were assaulted that day by his angry mob, and he is still being sued by democratic lawmakers who were under siege that day as a result of the Trump-induced Capitol attack. In that ongoing litigation, Donald Trump asserted that everything he did on and around January 6, 2021, was an official presidential act so he should be immune from being sued. A federal judge has now rejected Trump's immunity claim, ruling that lawsuit against Donald Trump will move forward toward trial. This is an important ruling on the accountability front. And it may even serve as foreshadowing for what might happen in the future in the event the January 6 criminal prosecution is reinitiated against Trump once he leaves office.
