While local news often focuses on what is wrong, today we’re taking a moment to say: be proud of this country.  Next, we head to the coast to talk about great white shark nurseries, where the hot spots are, and why California could see a major surge in sharks with El Niño conditions on the way. From shark bite power to why sharks usually reject humans as prey, we break down the fascinating facts behind one of the ocean’s most misunderstood predators.  We also talk emergency preparedness as tectonic stress along Southern California’s San Andreas and San Jacinto fault systems reaches alarming levels. BuzzBalls, Bucket Wars & The Lime Generation: America’s Weirdest Trending Stories

Conway Jr Show Hour 2 (6.16)  In this episode, we’re cracking open a wild mix of neighborhood drama, fast-food shakeups, safety reminders, and viral pop-culture chaos.  First, residents in an Encino neighborhood say they are fed up with suspicious activity at a nearby home they believe may be used by influencers and content creators filming for OnlyFans. Neighbors claim they have seen scantily clad women in the front yard, litter in the streets, and alcohol cans left behind — including BuzzBallz, the viral ready-to-drink cocktails packing 15% alcohol with flavors like Lotta Colada.  Then it’s time for our Fast-Food Update. KFC is rolling out a massive global revamp with a focus on boneless chicken, more than 20 new sauces, next-generation restaurant designs, and a modernized Colonel Sanders logo. The famous red chicken buckets are getting a fresh new look as KFC tries to bring chicken closer to its chicken-loving peers.  We also talk about a simple but serious safety reminder: stop wearing all black when walking around after sunset. It may look cool, but it can be extremely dangerous for drivers trying to see pedestrians at night.  Next, we break down the big Pizza Hut business shakeup, with reports of Yum! Brands selling Pizza Hut in major transactions. As restaurant prices keep climbing, one thing is clear: pizza is not as affordable as it used to be.  And finally, why are kids between 10 and 20 being called the “Lime Generation”? Gen Z and Gen Alpha are colliding with memes, viral aesthetics, Skittles colors, and internet culture. Plus, the Knicks are dominating the tattoo space as emotional fans turn big sports moments into permanent ink.  BuzzBallz, Lotta Colada, OnlyFans house, Encino neighborhood, influencer house, content creators, viral cocktails, 15% alcohol drinks, neighborhood drama, KFC revamp, boneless chicken, KFC sauces, Colonel Sanders, fast food news, next-gen restaurants, Pizza Hut sale, Yum Brands, pizza prices, pedestrian safety, walking at night, black clothing safety, Gen Z trends, Gen Alpha, Lime Generation, Skittles trend, viral memes, Knicks tattoos, sports tattoos, trending news, pop culture podcast  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Zoo Blues, King Tides & Roku Confusion: L.A.’s Wildest Reality Check

Tim Conway Jr Show Hour 3 (6.16)   In this episode, we’re taking on a wild mix of Los Angeles problems, pop culture chaos, ocean warnings, and everyday money drain.  First, the L.A. Zoo is facing serious trouble. Unlike many major zoos across the country, the Los Angeles Zoo is still fully operated by the city, and a new grand jury report says that model may no longer be working. With aging facilities, financial pressure, a reported budget shortfall, and a sharp drop in memberships, one of L.A.’s most beloved attractions is facing big questions about its future.  We also look at Downtown Los Angeles ranking near the bottom among major U.S. downtowns for vibrancy. DTLA has long been a symbol of big-city energy, but reports say it is struggling compared to other urban cores — raising the question: what happened to the heart of Los Angeles?  Then we break down rent control and why it may not make properties more valuable. While rent control is often presented as a solution for renters, it can create serious challenges for homeowners, landlords, property values, maintenance, and housing supply.  Next, we meet some big fans, get a peek into Bellio’s dating past, and remind everyone to be aware of king tides. High water is coming, and coastal communities need to pay attention.  And finally, German fans want to meet Tim on Kester and Sherman Way, another shark alert hits the water with a reported 9-foot shark, and Roku may be changing owners. Meanwhile, we’re all getting drained by the never-ending costs of modern life — streaming services, cell phones, subscriptions, apps, and everything else that used to be cheaper back in the day. Plus, Tim still has trouble understanding Roku.  Trending Keywords:  L.A. Zoo, Los Angeles Zoo, LA Zoo trouble, Griffith Park, zoo membership decline, DTLA, Downtown Los Angeles, city vibrancy, Gensler City Pulse, rent control, housing crisis, property values, homeowners, Los Angeles real estate, king tides, high tide warning, coastal flooding, shark alert, 9-foot shark, German fans, Kester and Sherman Way, Roku, Roku sale, streaming costs, subscription fatigue, cell phone bills, cost of living, modern expenses, LA podcast, trending news, local news, pop culture podcast  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Tim Conway Jr Show Hour 4 (6.16)    In this episode, we’re kicking things off with World Cup fans visiting from all over the world — and reminding us just how great America really is. From the beauty of the country to the kindness of Americans, sometimes it takes visitors to help us appreciate what we have right in front of us.  Then it’s time for a Shark PSA: if you go into the ocean, you may legitimately be swimming with sharks. With El Niño conditions bringing a possible surge in shark activity, we break down why great whites may be closer than you think — and why the ocean is still their home, not ours.  Next, we head to West Hollywood for a little nightlife buzz as lesbian bars make a comeback, including SweetWater, the new WeHo hotspot bringing community, cocktails, and culture back to the scene.  And finally: Alcohol Cannnnnzz, OnlyFanzzz, Lotta Manzzzz, and Also-Ranzzz.
