S8Ep5: 50 Days to Embracing (and Enjoying) Who God Says You Are

This week on the podcast, hosts Tricia Goyer and Mike Nawrocki talk with authors Eric Geiger and Erin Geiger about their new devotional, 50 Days to Embracing (and Enjoying) Who God Says You Are. Pastor and bestselling author Eric Geiger, senior pastor of Mariners Church, joins forces with his teenage daughter Eden Geiger to offer teens a powerful, identity-shaping devotional: 50 Days to Embracing (and Enjoying) Who God Says You Are (Wander, January 2026). Designed for young readers navigating cultural pressure and self-definition, this seven-week devotional helps teens discover lasting confidence grounded in biblical truth. In today’s culture, teens are constantly bombarded with messages suggesting identity is defined by appearance, interests, music, or social status. This conversation explores how faith provides a stronger foundation, helping young people move beyond comparison and confusion to embrace the identity God has uniquely given them. Through daily reflections, Scripture insights, and perspective from both parent and teen voices, Eric and Eden guide readers toward understanding who they are through grace rather than performance. The devotional encourages teens to stop striving to fit cultural expectations and instead find freedom and purpose in God’s design for their lives. Tune in as Tricia and Mike discuss: Helping teens develop a Christ-centered identityParenting and discipleship insights from a pastor and fatherCultural pressures facing today’s youthPractical ways families can engage devotionals togetherHow faith brings clarity, confidence, and joy in self-understandingIf you are looking for Christian resources for teens, youth devotionals, or faith-based identity guidance, this episode offers practical encouragement and biblical perspective for both parents and young listeners. ------------------------------------------------------ The Bible for Kids is now a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, and we'd love to have you join us in our mission of reaching kids with the message of the Bible. S8Ep1 - Esau McCaulley, God’s Colorful Kingdom Storybook Bible

This week on the podcast, hosts Tricia Goyer and Mike Nawrocki sit down with Rev. Esau McCaulley—renowned biblical scholar, theologian, professor, and author—to discuss his powerful new children’s Bible, God’s Colorful Kingdom Storybook Bible: The Story of God’s Big Diverse Family. In this meaningful conversation, Esau McCaulley shares the heart behind creating a storybook Bible that faithfully tells Scripture while highlighting God’s intentional design for ethnic diversity, justice, compassion, and care for the vulnerable. Written with both scholarly depth and the warmth of a father’s voice, God’s Colorful Kingdom Storybook Bible invites children and families to see themselves reflected in God’s redemptive story from Genesis to Revelation. This beautifully illustrated, color-rich storybook Bible weaves together 31 engaging Bible stories, including: 16 Old Testament stories15 New Testament storiesSeveral biblical stories rarely included in traditional storybook BiblesEach story emphasizes God’s love for all people, His concern for the poor and oppressed, and His vision for a multicultural, diverse Church united by grace. Families of all ethnicities, nationalities, and backgrounds will be drawn to McCaulley’s fresh yet faithful retelling of Scripture—one that celebrates God’s kingdom as a beautifully diverse family. Throughout the episode, listeners will explore: Why diversity is central—not secondary—to the biblical narrativeHow children’s faith formation is shaped by inclusive storytellingThe role of justice, compassion, and unity in God’s KingdomWhy this storybook Bible is poised to become a modern classic for families and churchesThere is no doubt that God has always been at work creating a colorful, diverse family, and God’s Colorful Kingdom Storybook Bible helps the next generation see that truth clearly and joyfully. ------------------------------------------------------ The Bible for Kids is now a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, and we'd love to have you join us in our mission of reaching kids with the message of the Bible. When her son turned two, she was ready to try for another baby. At about the same time they were deciding, her husband got custody of his three kids.
