Meanwhile, in true Book Fix fashion, we’re temporarily rebranding ourselves as The Bake Fix and attempting to recreate the Legends & Lattes cover… as a cake. Expect questionable decorating choices, frosting disasters, and a lot of discussion about whether we’d survive running a fantasy coffee shop (spoiler: probably not). The book follows Tegan, a cake decorator whose day goes completely off the rails when a wedding cake disaster leaves her scrambling—until she’s helped by Atlas, a massive wolven who works at Leviathan Fitness. After their chaotic first meeting, Atlas invites Tegan to the gym anytime she needs help lifting her cakes. Instead, Tegan decides she wants to lift them herself and signs up for a membership to build her strength. As the two spend more time together at the gym, their friendship quickly turns into attraction. Between workouts, flirtation, and some very primal monster instincts, Tegan and Atlas begin exploring what a relationship between a human and a monster could really look like. But this episode also marks the debut of a brand new segment: The Bake Fix. Inspired by Tegan’s cake decorating skills, we attempted to bake a cake that looks exactly like the cover of the book… and honestly, the resemblance is uncanny.
