    Salutations after a long hiatus, the mental threads podcast that’s returned. I will be interviewing Miss Patrice Zhanae, she is a Soul and RnB music artist from Suitland PG County Maryland however, grew up in Salisbury, North Carolina and currently residing in Charlotte. We delve deep in her background and her influences for her to become the that she is today as well as various experiences that she had been through all throughout her journey.     For this episode of the Mental Threads Podcast I have a special guest Liberian alternative rock artist Gucci Ron. me and Ron have been connected through social media for a while finally meeting each other’s acquaintance at Trey Rhodes Charlotte Spark event this past October. we delve into his interests from everything of Scott Pilgrim to Lil Uzi Vert's songs and how it impacted him. We discussed matters revolving around him growing up in Minnesota and then relocating to Charlotte and just the difference between those 2 cities. We talk about matters of him excepting himself as an individual from his love of rock music and just expressing that love through his own art. We also discussed matters of the Liberian community as a whole from Minnesota to Charlotte and so on. We speak on a whole lot of different topics.     In this episode for the Mental Threads Podcast, I will be conversing with an artist from South Carolina currently residing in Charlotte North Carolina. His name is MENTXL! I met MENTXL at Trey Rhodes Charlotte Spark event he is a rap artist from a small town in York, South Carolina and now making life for himself in the Queen city along with his fiancé. We will be discussing of all types of topics from him growing up in York as well as the contrast between a small town in South Carolina to the Queen city , switching his style up from a more modern take to a more boom bap based sound, his interest in a more culinary based background with all types of food that he can make and him growing as an artist. we discussed matters of him having tensions with his family, and just learning to outgrow from a little town and embracing his own individuality. this is a very dope episode and I’m so glad I got that.     For this episode of the Mental Threads podcast I’ll be conversing with OreoTheSage he is an artist originally from New York currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina of Bajan Descent. Me and Oreo converse over all types of matters. We start discussing matters, revolving, anime more specifically, Naruto and the many things that we enjoyed about that anime, as well as the many things that we agree could’ve been improved upon. We delve into Oreos background from the origins of his name "OreoTheSage" to various hobbies and interest he had particularly athletics like wrestling. we converse over him growing up in moving between Brooklyn NY to South Carolina. we discuss about matters of him wanting to live in Charlotte NC and making this City his home. We talk about his experiences regarding auditioning and performing for the Charlotte Spark event. We also talk about his Bajan culture and various Bajan cuisine as well as discussing the history or Barbados and Liberia's connection. He is an artist from Charlotte, North Carolina whom not only attended North Carolina Central University but created an anthem that is still representing us Eagles to this day. We talk about his life growing up on the west side of Charlotte and what separates the west side from all the other sides of Charlotte. We also converse on matters regarding his hobby of basketball and how we transition from that to just focusing on music. we talk about life on campus for him at North Carolina Central University, and his transition from focusing on school to just focusing entirely on his music and raising his son. We discuss matters of fatherhood and how it affected his life for all the positives that come with it as well as everything else. We discussed the matters of him running his own label of Social Currency. We also converse over matters regarding his experience, working with artists like Tee Grizzley, Toosii, and DaBaby as well. we also speak about matters revolving around the city of Charlotte, North Carolina artist scene, and what needs to be done to help build waves in the Queen City. We speak on his connection with the Liberian community and how visiting the community in Boston Massachusetts has influence his life. We also delve deeper into his love for a comedy and his experiences as a comedian in himself along with the comedy community here in Charlotte.
