Introducing Growing Together, Not Apart, In Parenthood from Mind If We Talk?. Follow the show: Mind If We Talk? Becoming a parent changes everything. Your schedule, your sleep, your sense of self. And often, your relationship, too. But that's not the part we tend to talk about. On this episode of "Mind If We Talk?" host and licensed mental health counselor Sreela Roy-Greene sits down with Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and former NFL pro Andrew East, a married couple of ten years and parents to three children. Their journey into parenthood was anything but easy. It began with an unplanned pregnancy, a miscarriage that brought grief on different timelines, and, later, a difficult postpartum experience that neither Shawn nor Andrew quite understood at the time. In this intimate conversation, Shawn and Andrew share the ways in which becoming parents has tested them— from the moment Andrew decided they needed a therapist’s help to how they've managed to keep choosing each other, even when things get really hard. Later in the show, Sreela is joined by licensed therapist Sonni Williams from BetterHelp. Together, they explore what couples underestimate most about having a baby, how to recognize the signs of postpartum mood disorders, and a 3 a.m. exercise every couple should try before the baby arrives. If you're navigating the transition into parenthood, recovering from pregnancy loss, or just feeling like you and your partner have become ships in the night, this episode is for you. 00:00 Becoming Parents Changes Everything 00:47 Welcome Back to Mind If We Talk? 02:29 Shawn & Andrew on Marriage, Family, and Commitment 05:30 The Fear of an Unplanned Pregnancy 09:00 Navigating Miscarriage and Grief Together 14:45 How Parenthood Changed Their Communication 18:26 Postpartum Depression and Feeling Misunderstood 23:57 Why Therapy Became Essential to Their Marriage 29:32 Expert Perspective: Pregnancy, Parenthood & Relationship Stress 37:07 Understanding Postpartum Depression and Anxiety 39:05 Recognizing Signs Your Partner May Need Help 46:36 Protecting Connection and Scheduling Joy in Marriage 52:54 Preparing Emotionally for Parenthood 55:06 Final Reflections and Closing Thoughts Hosted on Acast. Colin Cowherd Podcast - Sixers Upset Celtics, LeBron Finds A Way To Win, Wolves Are Underrated, Nuggets Need To Re-Tool

Colin’s joined by Jason Timpf, host of “Hoops Tonight” to break down the NBA playoffs. They start with the Celtics being upset by the 76ers and they discuss Boston’s dependence on their “system”, why that system fell apart when Jayson Tatum can’t play, and why Joel Embiid created massive problems for the Celtics defensively (3:00). They also  preview the upcoming series between the Knicks and Sixers (15:30).  They move to the western conference and Colin argues the Lakers win over the Rockets put the exclamation point on the argument that LeBron is better than Kevin Durant, and the series showed the gap between the two is bigger than ever (24:45).  They pivot to the Timberwolves knocking off the Nuggets, and they debate whether we’ve been underrating the Wolves team & organization for years (35:30), and whether a young & inexperienced Spurs team can be trusted in the postseason (39:30).  Colin argues the Nuggets need to shake things up and make some major moves in order to get over the hump and Jason suggests they look into acquiring CJ McCollum in order to move off Jamal Murray and finding an athletic forward to fill the role a younger Aaron Gordon filled (43:30). Colin Cowherd Podcast - Lakers Injury Disaster, Nuggets vs. Spurs OT Thriller, Michigan vs. UConn Preview, NBA’s Tanking Problem

Colin is joined by Jason Timpf, host of “Hoops Tonight”. They start with LeBron’s comments disparaging playing in Memphis,  and they agree that LeBron is probably onto something if he struck a nerve to this degree and laud him for being authentic (3:00). Colin argues the Lakers game against OKC where Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves got hurt was about as disastrous of a regular season game there has ever been in the month of April, but the criticism of JJ Reddick is overblown (8:15). They believe the Lakers will be one and done in the postseason after losing two of their stars (16:30). They move to the wild overtime game between the Nuggets & Spurs, and they debate whether the Spurs' youth and inexperience will be their Achilles heel in the postseason and Jason highlights the Spurs inability to stop Jokic could be a problem in round 2 (23:45). They pivot to the Final Four and Michigan’s drubbing of Arizona, and Colin argues the Wolverines are one of the best teams in the past decade, but not historically great (29:15). They preview the NCAA Final between Michigan and UConn and predict a very physical game and that Dan Hurley will try to put Michigan’s bigs in the blender to get good looks (35:00).  Finally, they discuss the egregious level of tanking by the worst teams in the NBA and whether there’s anything the league can do to address it (45:00). Colin Cowherd Podcast - Is Lakers High-Powered Offense Enough? LeBron vs. MJ’s Legacy, Giannis Trade Value, March Madness

Colin is joined by Jason Timpf, host of “Hoops Tonight” They start with the Lakers & the red hot play of Luka Doncic and debate whether the Lakers high powered offense can overcome their deficiencies on defense in the playoffs (4:00). Colin argues that under JJ Reddick, the Lakers now play in a highly motivated and intentional way and compliment Luka & LeBron (11:30), and Jason believes that LeBron has been uniquely focused in pursuit of a fifth ring (17:00). They discuss Kevin Durant’s comment that “MJ is bigger than basketball” and compare Michael Jordan’s legacy to LeBron’s (24:00). They pivot to Giannis and debate whether his hyperathletic style of play will age well, and what his value should be in a trade considering his age and injury history (32:30). They switch gears to college basketball and discuss where Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. will land in the draft as one of the most well-rounded guard prospects in years (43:00).  Finally, they discuss how NIL has shifted the balance of power in college hoops ever further in favor of the blue blood programs and why we are seeing less double digit seeds pulling off upsets (51:15), and debate whether Gonzaga should move on from Mark Few after being upset by Texas in the tournament (57:30).  (Timestamps may vary based on advertisements.)
