Trita Parsi on Iran, Marta Havryshko on Ukraine, Kai Newkirk on Running Against Israel + Adam Green

Trita Parsi talks about the latest Iran news. Kai Newkirk tells us why he's running for Congress in Arizona and why Israel is coming after him. Adam Green gets into who will replace Graham Platner. And Ukrainian historian Marta Havryshko exposes what's really happening in Ukraine and Lindsay Graham's shameful legacy. For the full discussion, please join us on Patreon at - https://www.patreon.com/thekatiehalpershow/posts/patreon-full-kai-163853691 Read Trita's latest in Responsible Statecraft: https://responsiblestatecraft.org/iran-mou-hormuz/ Support Kai for Congress in Arizona: https://kaiforaz.com/ Kai Newkirk (AZ-04) is a longtime organizer, anti-corruption leader, and co-founder of 99Rise who led the Democracy Spring protests for campaign finance and voting rights reform. He's running to replace Democratic incumbent Rep. Greg Stanton, an AIPAC-backed corporate Democrat who has taken over $300,000 in AIPAC money, failed to take a strong stand against the Iran war and ICE's rampage, and opposes Medicare For All. Because AZ-04 is solidly Democratic, the primary winner is expected to win the general. Adam Green is cofounder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (boldprogressives.org), an economic populist organization working to elect bold progressive fighters in red purple and blue districts this cycle. PCC has raised $40 million in grassroots donations for candidates over the years. Endorsed candidates include all 3 of Zohran's winners in NY, Analilia Mejia and Adam Hamawy in NJ, Chris Rabb in PA, as well as Abdul El-Sayed in MI, Kai Newkirk in AZ, and others. Trita Parsi is the executive vice president of the Quincy Institute. He is the award-winning author of "Losing an Enemy: Obama, Iran, and the Triumph of Diplomacy" and "Treacherous Alliance: The Secret Dealings of Israel, Iran, and the United States" and the 2010 recipient of the Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Improving World Order. Marta Havryshko is a U.S.-based historian, author and researcher focused on Ukrainian nationalism, the far right, and the Russo-Ukrainian War. She was previously the Dr. Thomas Zand Visiting Assistant Professor in Holocaust Pedagogy and Antisemitism Studies at the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University. Samira also talks about the alleged antisemitism crisis in Canada, the latest in Gaza and Iran, and responds to Jesse Brown of Canadaland. But first, Katie talks to Oliver Larkin about why he's running against Rep. Jared Moskowitz in Florida, and to Jawad Ali, a Palestinian American attorney whose family home in the West Bank was attacked by a violent Israeli mob.
