Bitcoin Is Breaking Out. Are Altcoins the Better Buy Now?

Bitcoin is pressing on 87K, the top of this week's daily range, and a break above it should carry us to 90K inside the 87K to 93.5K weekly resistance block. I think 90K is more likely next than a revisit of 78K, the bull market support. So today was mostly about altcoins: I lined up the altcoin to Bitcoin ratio against the last four cycles, and three of the four went well for alts. Even the worst one, 2023, saw the average alt dip about 25% and then rally 173%. I'm still about 85% in Bitcoin, I trade the rest, and when my alts run I sell the extra back into Bitcoin. Also on the show: NEAR and Zcash privacy, AI compute coins, and the AI plays on RobinhoodChain. Which narrative are you positioned in? How Low Can Bitcoin Go? $76K Is the Worst Case

My absolute floor for Bitcoin is $76K, and I don't think we even get there. The October options max pain sits at $76,000 and the daily swing low is near $75K, so a daily wick to 76 is possible. But the weekly close should hold above $78K, the 50-week SMA and the bottom of the bull market support band. A wick into the band and a close back above it is what early bull run chop looked like in 2023. I'm positioned for it: about 85% of my portfolio is in Bitcoin and just over 5% in alts, so if we lose 76 my bags nuke. The upside target is still $90K this quarter. Also on the show: Robinhood picked Bitstamp over Lighter for its US perps, and AI agents are the next narrative on RobinhoodChain. Where do you think the floor is? Chapters: (00:00) Today's show: Robinhood Chain, two exploits and Bitcoin's floor (06:15) Strategy bought above today's price (09:31) The MetaMask staking incident (13:13) NEAR Intents: $3.8M lost, patched fast (17:57) Robinhood Summit: US perps via Bitstamp, not Lighter (20:26) Why Lighter dumped (22:30) Robinhood Agents and the trading MCP (27:03) AI agents: the next Robinhood Chain narrative (33:12) Robinhood Social (36:54) Q&A: viewership as a contrarian signal (39:41) Bitcoin's floor: why 76K is the worst case (41:22) October max pain at 76K (43:40) Daily wick to 76K, weekly close above 78K (45:06) The bull market support band, like 2023 (49:39) How I'm positioned: 85% Bitcoin (54:32) Q&A: XRP, HBAR and the ISO 20022 trade (55:49) Q&A: why always-wrong channels are high signal (58:46) Q&A: why not hold alts until 160K? Inflation Falls, Bitcoin Rips. Is the Fed Done Hiking?

The Fed's preferred inflation gauge, core PCE, printed 3.0% this morning against 3.3% last month. But inflation didn't actually cool. The BEA changed how it measures prices for legal services, software, computer accessories and portfolio management, and revised last month's number down to 3.0% as well, so nothing changed month over month. It's still good for markets: the odds of no rate hike in October jumped to 65% on CME FedWatch in a single day, and the 2-year yield is already slowing down. Bitcoin bounced on the news and sits around $84K. My base case for the next three months is $90K, the middle of the range between the 50-week SMA support at $78K and resistance near $95K. If we get to $90K or $91K fast in October, I'm rotating my altcoins back into Bitcoin. Do you think the Fed is done hiking? Chapters: (00:00) What's on the show: Bitcoin targets and the Fed (02:48) The core PCE print: 3.3% revised to 3.0% (08:36) What the BEA took out of the calculation (12:14) The Fed's own inflation projections (14:37) CME FedWatch: odds of no October hike jump to 65% (17:14) How Bitcoin, gold and the S&P reacted (19:13) Why the 2-year yield matters more than the 10-year (22:41) Early bull run, no reason to be bearish (24:58) Bitcoin's big quarter: the 90K target (30:37) A bullish quarter, then a consolidation quarter (34:03) The 50-week SMA floor at 78K (35:14) No two red years in a row: 87.5K and 93.3K (39:36) My base case for the next three months (40:51) Q&A: to the moon in October? I'm Buying This Dip in Bitcoin and Altcoins. Ignore the FUD

Bitcoin is sitting around $84K and I think this dip is a gift, not a warning. We're three weeks into a confirmed bull run, and the bull market support band, the 50-week moving averages, sits at $78K, only about 7% below. That's the lowest the support band should be for the rest of this run, so I treat anything between $84K and $78K as a buying range, and a weekly close below $78K is the level that would change my mind. Also on the show: the SEC saying token buybacks on decentralized protocols don't make a coin a security, 17 banks connecting to Swift's ledger through Chainlink, and the new altcoin launches and mining plays I'm getting into. Are you buying this dip or waiting for lower? Chapters: (00:00) Why this dip is a buying opportunity (03:49) Q&A: where is the dip? Quant Up 400%. Which Altcoins Are Next to Rally?

QNT went from about $800 million to $3.8 billion in market cap in a week, and the only news I could find behind it was The Clearing House partnering with Quant on its on-chain money initiative. So today's stream was about what follows it. Quant has no on-chain ecosystem of its own, so the beta sits next door in the ISO 20022 basket: Stellar runs the hardest with a 0.85 beta, while XDC and XLM have bounced the least off their 12-month lows. The data didn't crown one winner, so I took a basket of five, XRP, HBAR, XLM, IOTA and ALGO, as a one to two week trade. Also on the show: Fed October hike odds at 66% ahead of Wednesday's PCE, the Bitcoin range I'm buying into from here down to about $78K, and why QNT's small supply doesn't matter. Which ISO 20022 coin do you think runs next? It's Time to Lock In On Bitcoin and Crypto

Bitcoin is about a third below its all-time high, and by my count we're in week 2 of a roughly 132-week bull run, the first 2% of it in time. My base case is a 2x to around $170K, which still adds about $1.76 trillion to Bitcoin's market cap, only 10% less than last cycle added. From this same point last cycle, the top 10 altcoins did about 3x and the rest of the market about 4x, so the easy gains go to whoever is positioned before Bitcoin runs, not six months later. Also on today's stream: the Fed's new GENIUS Act stablecoin proposals, the $351M Bitget hack, and why a 5.2% 10-year yield and a rising MOVE index are the short-term risk I'm watching. Chapters: (00:00) Time to lock in: why we're early (03:22) The Fed's new GENIUS Act stablecoin proposals (06:32) Bitget hacked for $351M (08:38) Hyperliquid Strategies keeps buying HYPE (09:25) The 10-year yield breaks out to 5.2% (13:25) Watch the MOVE index (15:47) Q&A: yields, bonds and the rotation signal (20:13) Bitcoin: week 2 of a 132-week bull run (29:22) The market cap math to $170K (32:06) Altcoin market cap: what 3x looks like (34:43) Blue chips vs small caps (40:43) Narrative trades: NEAR, Zcash and their ecosystems (44:50) How 10x returns happen: the BitTensor example (54:25) Q&A: is Zcash too late? Bitcoin correction: my buy targets for ETH, XRP, SOL, DOGE, HYPE, ZEC, NEAR

Bitcoin is at about 84,000, right in the middle of the 78K to 90K range it's held since breaking above the 50 week SMA. The 10 year yield just cleared 5% to a 19 year high, and that's the real headwind right now: higher yields pull the dollar up, and a stronger dollar is pressure on gold and on Bitcoin both. Most of this stream is altcoins, and I use one framework for all of them, which is how much a coin moves compared to Bitcoin. Take that multiple, apply it to a 78K Bitcoin target, and you have a cheap level for anything on the list. I do it live for Ethereum at 2,400, Solana at 101, XRP at 1.36, BNB at 723, Doge at 8.5 cents, Hyperliquid at 60, Zcash at 1,350 and Near at 3.88. Also in here: the EU's new quantum deadline, the Trump administration weighing a global dollar stablecoin push, and the CFTC's tokenization framework sitting at the White House for review. Everything outside Bitcoin is a trade for me, not a long term hold. Robinhood Crypto Narrative: Which Are The Best Coins?

Bitcoin is at 83,500 after printing 86,500 yesterday, and half the chat had already moved on to calling for 60K. There is no headline behind a 2% day. The two levels that matter are 90K on the upside and 78K on the downside, where the 50 week SMA and EMA sit together as the bull market support band, and I put it around 85% that we hold above 78K from here. The rest of the stream is the the Robinhood chain. The Robinhood Summit is in seven days and it is invite only, so I had my AI go through all 1,100 or so listed Robinhood ecosystem coins looking for founders who have publicly confirmed they will be in the room. Two came back. I also went through why Aurora and Rhea Finance are still my NEAR and Zcash exposure, and why Render and Fetch.ai still look S-tier to me while NEAR has already done most of its move. Everything outside Bitcoin is a trade for me, not a spot bag.
