    Episode 5: Lay It Down — Finding Peace When Life Is Swallowing You; Luke Chapters 10-12

    Episode 4: The Wrinkled Garment Luke Chapters 7-9

    We're all born like a fresh, pressed linen shirt — clean, pure, and perfect. But life happens. Loss, heartbreak, rejection, and disappointment leave their mark, folding and creasing us in ways both small and deep. So what do we do with a wrinkled shirt? In this teaching from Luke 7–9, we explore two central themes: the nature of faith and the reality of impure spirits. Through the stories of the centurion's servant, the widow's son, the woman healed after 12 years of suffering, and Jesus calming the storm, we see what it truly looks like to bring our worn and wrinkled selves before God — and what happens when we lay ourselves down on the ironing board. We also take an honest look at the impure spirits that quietly control and torment us — from insecurity and comparison to depression and idolatry — and what it means to stand up to those bullies and find ourselves, like the man healed of a legion of demons, sitting in our right minds.

    Episode 3: Tested, Called, and Transformed: Lessons from Luke 4–6

    In this episode of Coffee and Comfort, we explore Luke chapters 4–6, where Jesus begins His ministry after fasting for 40 days in the wilderness and resisting powerful temptations. From there, He begins healing, calling His disciples, and teaching a radically different way of living. But these chapters are more than stories—they’re practical lessons for real life, especially during seasons of struggle. We talk about the purpose of fasting, spiritual testing, and “wilderness seasons”, and how those difficult moments can actually strengthen our faith and draw us closer to God. Through Jesus’ healings and teachings—about forgiveness, judgment, humility, and building a life on a strong foundation—we reflect on how these messages apply to our everyday lives and the challenges we face.
