    What if my options are all *bad*? (Q&A)

    In this episode I answer a listener question about knowing what you want.   The listener, Stephanie, wrote in saying that she's struggling to make a huge decision. What she actually wants doesn't feel like a realistic option, so she's left choosing between options she doesn't want.   I wanted to answer this question because I think it gets at a human reality that isn't discussed enough - that sometimes our options are bad.   I walk Stephanie through how I would advise her to move forward and offer her some specific questions to consider to guide her through this difficult decision.   I hope this provides Stephanie, and anyone struggling with a tough decision with bad options, some tactical ideas + more reflection on the situation to find Rightness in your own way.   Enrollment is open for the "How To Know What You Want" course.     So many folks say, "I'm bad at making decisions" or "I struggle to make decisions." While that may *feel* true, it can also become its own self-perpetuating cycle, making you feel even more self-doubt, stress, and confusion.   I've found it's far more helpful to say: "I'm working on making decisions more effectively — and here's what I'm changing."   Of course...then you need to know what you *are* working on.     Past Decision Trauma

    "Past Decision Trauma" is where a person has at least one experience where they had an important decision, and it didn't go the way that they hoped. They're kicking themselves about it + it's impacting their ability to make decisions going forward.   People experiencing Past Decision Trauma will often procrastinate decisions, take a super long time to make decisions, look outward to other people, or over-analyze — because they don't trust their own inner signals. And I'm using "trauma" in the "little t" sense here, because most people haven't been in a war zone, but it still profoundly affects them.   If you have Past Decision Trauma, I share 3 questions in this episode that you can ask yourself to find yourself on solid ground again.     Your priorities

    This episode is about priorities. I find that knowing your actual priorities can be the solution to issues such as guilty thoughts, over-thinking, or over-researching.   There are two approaches to thinking about priorities that I find useful, and I illustrate them through a few different client stories + a quick story about me.   This idea might seem obvious, but this episode is still very much worth a listen. Because if you have confusion or lack of clarity or guilt, this concept will help you.
