    Top 10 Inventions and Inators!

Michael and Steve count down their top 10 favorite Phineas and Ferb inventions and Doofenshmirtz inators. Starting with honorable mentions like the cuteness meter and Max Modem, they work through each ranked list, discussing standout episodes like the time machine from "It's About Time," the no-stop truck stop, Ferb TV, and the picnic theme park on the Phineas side, while covering inators like the naughty-and-nator, the forget-about-it-inator, the poopinator, and the universal delete button on Doof's side. They share memories of what these inventions remind them of from their own childhoods and analyze what makes certain creations particularly clever or memorable.

    Candace Against The Universe!

PecanCtMichael and TFG1Mike wrap up their summer vacation reviewing Candace Against The Universe, the second Phineas and Ferb movie. They discuss the film's bloated runtime (91 minutes), eight-writer team, weak song catalog, and how it retreads character ground Candace had already moved past. Despite some bright spots—Lawrence's post-credits scene, Vanessa's motivation speech, and Doof's adulting song—the hosts find the movie derivative and overstuffed. They also dig into voice cast details, character ages, and why the escape pod scene missed a golden Spaceballs reference.

    The O.W.C.A. Files!

TFG1Mike and PecanCtMichael wrap up their coverage of Phineas & Ferb's fourth season by reviewing "The O.W.C.A. Files," a two-part special (five acts total, ~40 minutes without commercials) that spins off Perry the Platypus and his animal agency colleagues. The hosts discuss the special's structure as a backdoor pilot, the problematic B-story featuring the animal villains (including Josh Gad's Wendell and J.K. Simmons' Napoleon), the disconnect between the A and B plots, memorable songs like the O.W.C.A. theme and "Beautiful Lunchtime," and whether the bugs could have carried their own series. They also announce the Season 5 premiere dates (June 5-6, 2025) and preview upcoming episodes before their hiatus break.

    Last Day Of Summer!

TFG1Mike and Michael wrap up P.O.W.C.A.'s summer vacation coverage with the Phineas and Ferb series finale special, "Last Day of Summer." The hosts dive into the six-act special that attempts to serve as both a Groundhog Day parody and a farewell to the beloved show's characters. They discuss the episode's structure, the appearance (and notable absence) of various recurring characters, Doofenshmirtz's sudden redemption arc, and the extended musical finale "Curtain Call." The conversation ranges from what the episode got right—particularly the fan service in the finale song—to what they felt was missing, including Jeremy and other major characters. They also explore how the episode compares to other favorites like "Act Your Age" and debate whether this was the right way to send off the series.

Phineas and Ferb - Star Wars!

PecanCtMichael and TFG1Mike dive into Phineas and Ferb Star Wars, a two-part special that drops the boys into the events of A New Hope. They praise the show's attention to detail—from background aliens to character poses perfectly matching the source material—and discuss the original songs, with particular love for "Rebel Let's Go" and Vanessa's performances. The hosts highlight clever Easter eggs like the Mos Eisley cantina sign's "14% more scum and villainy" joke, debate casting choices like Norm as C-3PO instead of R2-D2, and marvel at how the special functions as a love letter to Star Wars by showing familiar events from an adjacent angle. They also touch on character appearances like Buford finding Obi-Wan's cloak and speculate about the series' unexplored potential for similar crossover specials.

    Night Of The Living Pharmacists!

TFG1Mike and PecanCtMichael return to Phineas and Ferb's final summer with "Night of the Living Pharmacists," a six-act special that embraces full horror-movie spectacle. When Doof's latest -inator accidentally transforms half of Danville into zombie versions of himself, the kids must figure out how to stop the invasion while Stacey watches obliviously from her living room. The hosts discuss the episode's clever horror references, the "lots of me, less of me" zombie catchphrase that's way better than brains, Vanessa's competent goth energy, and continuity questions about when this fits in the series timeline. They also debate zombie movie preferences and rank the episode a solid 5 out of 5.

Phineas and Ferb - Save Summer!

J.J. and Michael discuss "Save Summer," the hour-long special that kicks off the final stretch of Phineas and Ferb episodes. They critique the episode's bloated structure—pointing out unnecessary scenes, excessive musical numbers (particularly Irving's extended singing), and characters like Wallace Shawn and Roger having more screen time than Ferb. The hosts debate whether a special meant to save summer should really be as long as the series finale, discuss the show's shift from 11-minute episodes to full-length specials, and touch on the layered humor (Dr. Who references, Romeo and Juliet parallels, presidential cameos) that appeals to adults as much as kids. They also go on tangents about Jessica Biel, The Princess Bride, Monty Python, and creative choices in children's media.

    Act Your Age!

TFG1Mike and Michael continue their Phineas & Ferb summer journey, diving into "Act Your Age," a special episode set 10 years in the future where teenage Phineas must choose between colleges while grappling with Isabella's long-standing crush on him. The gang attempts to bring them together before she leaves for school, while Dr. Doof experiences a mid-life crisis and builds a mid-life crisis-inator. The hosts discuss the episode's sweet romantic payoff, the shift from adventure-focused storytelling to coming-of-age themes, and how this could have served as a series finale—though they're glad it didn't, given what comes next. They also explore voice actor changes, life expectancy math, and tangent into Bozo Circus nostalgia.
