    Episode 178: "Simply Irresistible" (1999) 🦀👩‍🍳🍝

Welcome Back Radical Ones! ⚡️ Ryan and David dive fork first into “Simply Irresistible” (1999), the rom-com where food is sexy, feelings are contagious, and one very magical crab might be running the kitchen. Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as Amanda Shelton, this movie serves up mood-altering meals that spark joy, tears, confidence, and yes… a little orgasmic energy on the plate. Is it romance, fairy tale, or full-on culinary chaos? And then we ask the real questions: does it hold up? Did it ever? We’re breaking down the magic, the mess, the charm, the choices… and of course, the crab.  Also, fun Buffy-era trivia for fellow fans: Sarah filmed Cruel Intentions and Simply Irresistible back-to-back during the hiatus between Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 2 and 3. Icon behavior. Grab a seat, Radical Ones. This one is simply irresistible. 🍽️🦀💖 "Amanda Shelton, who inherits her late mother's struggling restaurant. Despite her lack of culinary skills, she meets a mysterious man who sells her a magical crab that enhances her cooking abilities. As she navigates her new life, Amanda develops a romantic connection with Tom Bartlett, a department store manager, while also dealing with her girlfriend's erratic behavior. The film explores themes of love, culinary magic, and the unexpected power of food in relationships.” Stars: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean Patrick Flanery & Patricia Clarkson. ⚡️Davids Instagram ⚡️Radical Ryan's Instagram Please Like 👍 Comment 📝 Subscribe ✔️ to support the channel! THUNDERCATS INSTAGRAMINSTAGRAM TWITTER⚡️For Business Inquiries & Beyond: Ryanhunterstudios@gmail.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

ThunderCats Reviews: 4:123 "The Mossland Monster" (1989) 🌱🌿🌳

Welcome Back Bunglers! ⚡ We’re heading into the final episodes of our beloved series, and this episode also carries a big emotional weight for us, because it marks the final appearance of our friend Tygra in the original series. Get ready for reckless flying, Snarf getting called crazy, and waking up something enormous that absolutely should have stayed asleep! Also, a quick heads up before you get confused: This Mossland Monster does not smell like fresh pine or forest cologne like He-Man’s Moss Man. (But don’t worry, it still very much gives off “we can turn you into a shrub” energy!) Lets get mossy…and let’s give Tygra the send-off he deserves! "The Mossland Monster": ⚡"Tygra gets caught in a meteor shower while returning from Third Earth. Losing control of the Feliner, he crashes through the atmosphere into the unexplored Mosslands of New Thundera, where he awakens the gigantic Monster of the Mosslands!" ⚡Original Airdate: September 20, 1989. ⚡ ✨Thank you to the "ThunderCats Wiki" for the plot synopsis✨ ⚡Martin Barreby - A Vehicle Theme⚡ Please Like 👍 Comment 📝 and Subscribe ✔️ to support the channel!THUNDERCATS INSTAGRAMINSTAGRAM TWITTER⚡️For Business Inquiries & Beyond Email: Ryanhunterstudios@gmail.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

ThunderCats Reviews: 4:122 "Cracker's Revenge" (1989) With Sean “Buddha” McKeone

Welcome Back Bunglers! ⚡ Happy New Year! It's time for more kitty cat fun with your Radical Retro Brothers! We are back recapping season four of ThunderCats! To make it even more special we welcome back Sean McKeone, the author of "Hall of Omens: Thunder-Verse! The Unofficial Ultimate Collector's Guide to ThunderCats, SilverHawks, & TigerSharks!" It’s the final appearance of our beloved medicine woman Pumyra, Captain Cracker and the Lunataks who become honorary pirates in what turns out to be their last appearance on the show too so yes, we are laughing, but we are also emotionally unstable about it! And to make it even more special, today’s release date marks the 41st anniversary of the original ThunderCats animated series premiering with its two-part pilot, “Exodus,” on January 23, 1985. And Bunglers… do we uncover a shocking discovery?! How well does Captain Bragg truly take care of his circus-train prisoners? We may have the answer, and it’s not fun. Let’s just say it involves a bucket and chicken feed?! 😬🪣🐔 ⚡"Captain Cracker and his mechanical parrot Polly land on Way-Out Back and free the Lunataks and put Bragg and Crownan in one of the train's cages. They plan to go to Third Earth to attack it since most of the Thundercats are no longer on Third Earth." ⚡Original Airdate: September 19, 1989 ⚡ ✨Thank you to the "ThunderCats Wiki" for the plot synopsis✨ ⚡Martin Barreby - A Vehicle Theme⚡ Seans Links: ⚡️WWW.THUNDERCATSTOYGUIDE.COM ⚡️FACEBOOK ⚡️YOUTUBE ⚡️WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM/THUNDERCATSTOYGUIDE ⚡️WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM/HALLOFOMENS ⚡️WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM/BUDDHAHA_HA ⚡️CLAWMACHINECHALLENGE Please Like 👍 Comment 📝 and Subscribe ✔️ to support the channel!THUNDERCATS INSTAGRAMINSTAGRAM TWITTER⚡️For Business Inquiries Email: Ryanhunterstudios@gmail.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

  4. Episode 177: "My Little Pony: The Movie" (1986) 🦄✨🌈

    16 JAN

Episode 177: "My Little Pony: The Movie" (1986) 🦄✨🌈

Welcome Back Radical Ones! ⚡️ We are back with another brand-new episode of Radical Retro Rewind! This week we’re tackling “My Little Pony: The Movie” ’from 1986, a longtime favorite of the Radical Brothers growing up. Of course we’re keeping it retro, and in 2026 the movie turns 40, making this the perfect time to revisit a film that left a lasting mark on our childhoods. Ryan asks the big question right out of the gate: Was it actually necessary for Buttons to yell at Baby Lickety-Split? David absolutely thinks so, and the debate leads whether tough love has a place in Ponyland. We also dig into the creeping menace of the Smooze and find out if this pastel nightmare can actually be stopped. Along the way, we make a surprising discovery about the Flutter Ponies. Not only are they powerful and mysterious, they might also be a little stuck up. From spring festivals gone wrong to magical side eye in the sky, this episode is packed with laughs, nostalgia, and radical pony logic. So grab the Rainbow of Light and get ready to head to Ponyland. It’s time to get Radical! "Ponyland comes under attack from the Smooze, a massive purple ooze created by an evil witch who plans to destroy the ponies' annual spring festival!” Stars: Danny DeVito, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Rhea Perlman and Tony Randall. ⚡️Davids Instagram ⚡️Radical Ryan's Instagram Please Like 👍 Comment 📝 Subscribe ✔️ to support the channel! THUNDERCATS INSTAGRAMINSTAGRAM TWITTER⚡️For Business Inquiries & Beyond: Ryanhunterstudios@gmail.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

  5. Bonus Episode: 2025 Radical Year In Review!

    9 JAN

Bonus Episode: 2025 Radical Year In Review!

Welcome Back Radical Ones! ⚡️ Before new episodes kick off next week, we’re taking a moment to celebrate! This bonus episode is a love letter to 2025. Join Ryan as he looks back at the RADICAL year that was 2025! We started things off in a big way with an unforgettable interview with Terri Hawkes, we talked slashers and secrets with Trey Callaway about “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” and “W.I.T.C.H.”, celebrated Jem’s 40th anniversary with the wonderfully kind Samantha Newark on Jerrica’s actual birthday and caught up with Michael Bailey Smith of Charmed and Fantastic Four (1994). We shared the fun with our Radical Ones through giveaways like two pairs of Freezy Freakies gloves and were completely blown away by an incredible video message from Thomas Dekker during our “Nightmare on Elm Street” (2010) coverage for Nightmare on Elm Street Summer.  We were honored to receive special video messages from director Christian Alvart and Kerry O’Malley during our "Case 39" episode, along with a thoughtful message from John Ottman reflecting on the "House of Wax" score for its anniversary. This year also brought some huge firsts. We released our very first ThunderCats Holiday Video Special, along with our own retro themed album and a Christmas single. And somehow, together, we reached 31,640 all time audio downloads. None of this happens without the listeners who show up every week, share the show, and send us so much love. Thank you to David, Rob, Cadu, Zack, lovely Leah, all our ThunderCats Bunglers, and of course our Radical Ones for being part of this journey. Your support, kindness, and shared nostalgia mean more to us than we can ever say. As always… stay radical. ❤️ ⚡️Davids Instagram ⚡️Radical Ryan's Instagram Please Like 👍 Comment 📝 Subscribe ✔️ to support the channel! THUNDERCATS INSTAGRAMINSTAGRAM TWITTER⚡️For Business Inquiries & Beyond: Ryanhunterstudios@gmail.com ⚡️Davids Instagram ⚡️Radical Ryan's Instagram Please Like 👍 Comment 📝 Subscribe ✔️ to support the channel! THUNDERCATS INSTAGRAMINSTAGRAM TWITTER⚡️For Business Inquiries & Beyond: Ryanhunterstudios@gmail.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

ThunderCats Reviews: Holiday Special Season 4! 🎄☃️🎁

Welcome Back Bunglers! ⚡ 🎄 Audio Version Note for Bunglers🎄 This holiday special was created as a full video experience and was not originally intended to be an audio only podcast. While we are thrilled to share it here, so much of the magic lives in the visuals, surprises, and festive chaos on screen. We highly recommend watching the full video version to truly experience everything we put into this special! Bunglers, join us for our first ever ThunderCats holiday video special! This festive celebration is packed with holiday magic, featuring messages from Bunglers all over the world, classic style commercials, and a few joyful surprises along the way! To make it even more memorable our dear friend and cohost Zack even flew in to bake his very own Snarf inspired candy fruit pie, bringing plenty of cheer and just a bit of kitchen chaos to the Cats’ Lair. David treats us to a special reading of the second edition of “’Twas the Night Before Third Earth Christmas,” adding a cozy holiday tradition to the episode.  We also curl up for a classic comic read as we dive into ThunderCats UK comic issue #41 from 1987, the story “Footprints.” In this chilling Rammastide tale, Cat’s Lair lies directly in the path of a mysterious and terrifying creature known as the Metokangmi! We also dive into ThunderCats UK comic issue #41 from 1987, the story “Footprints,” where Cat’s Lair lies in the path of the terrifying Metokangmi during Rammastide, the Third Earth equivalent of Christmas. From our Cats’ Lair to yours, thank you for celebrating the holidays with us. ThunderCats HO HO HOOOO! 🎄✨ A very special thank you to Zack for not only helping to film this holiday special, but also directing, editing, handling special effects, and going above and beyond to help bring this video episode to life. It is a true testament to friendship and love for this amazing fandom. This holiday special is made possible by the love and support of our incredible Bunglers. A heartfelt thank you to: Lovely Leah, Metesh, Juan, Steve, Costas, Tim, Egmond, Chris, Allan, Gary, Kevin, Bonner, Daniel, Sean “Buddha,” Craig, Nick, Karissa, Alexander, Cheryl, Peter Lawrence, Dennis J. Woodyard, and Bunglers all over the world! This episode is lovingly dedicated In Memory of Barbara Dickerson, Karissa’s beloved grandmother, the heart of her family. Zack's Candyfruit Pie Recipe3 1/2 cups Anjou or Bartlett pears, large dice1 cup fresh strawberries, quartered2/3 cup sugar1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, minced (or food processed with the sugar!)1/4 tsp cinnamon1/8 tsp star anise1 tbsp grated fresh ginger1/2 tsp grated grapefruit zest3 tbsp instant (minute) tapiocaPastry for two pie crusts (one for base, one for lattice); store-bought is fine.1–2 tbsp unsalted butterAdditional sugar for sprinklingFood dye (optional) Combine fruit, sugar, herbs, spices and tapioca. Let rest for 30 minutes at room temperature, stirring occasionally. Optionally, add a few drops of green food dye. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Roll out one pie crust and lay into a 9" pie dish. It should hang over the edge some. Lay in filling and accumulated fruity liquid to a level height. Roll out the second pie crust (optionally adding pink or red food dye) and slice into 14–16 strips of even width, about 1/2". Lay the strips in a grid on top of the pie, lifting every other strip as you go, over–under, to form a woven lattice. BONUS: Skewing your grid at 45 degrees to form diamonds instead of squares makes for a fancier looking lattice! Cut off any strip excess that's hanging over the edge of the dish and then fold the bottom crust up over the strips, crimping them together all the way around. Place pea-sized cubes of unsalted butter at every lattice intersection and then sprinkle additional sugar along the lines of the lattice. Tent the rim of the dish with foil to protect the crust (don't fully cover it; aim for somewhere between a lampshade and a yurt) and bake for 35 minutes. Remove or untent the foil and continue baking for another 30–40 minutes. The pie is done when the crust has browned and, crucially, the filling is visibly bubbling all over, like Mumm-Ra's cauldron. Overdone will look way too brown and underdone won't be bubbling everywhere. Remove and rest at room temperature for at least an hour before serving. Happy Rammastide! 7. ThunderCats Reviews: 4:120 & 4:121 "Malcar" & "Helpless Laughter" (1989)

    21/12/2025

    ThunderCats Reviews: 4:120 & 4:121 "Malcar" & "Helpless Laughter" (1989)

Welcome Back Bunglers! ⚡ We’re heading into the final episodes of our beloved series, and your Radical Retro Brothers welcome back our friend Zack as cohost for another double dose of kitty cat fun! Today's double episodes starts with "Malcar": ⚡"Mumm-Ra summons Malcar, an ancient alchemist, to return from the dead. The alchemist returns old and weak, as he was when he died. Mumm-Ra takes him to the forest of youth to restore his youth and power. Malcar regains his powers and uses them against the Thundercats. He transforms all the Thunderillium on the planet into Thundrainium." Then in "Helpless Laughter": ⚡"A convergence of the Moons of Plun-Darr causes a drought on Thundera. Panthro and Snarf go looking for water, then Ezuka, the flying Serpent of Dreary Canal wanting to get water itself, attacks Panthro and Snarf and causes them to fall into the Swamp of the Laughing Lilypads, making them laugh out of control. Ezuka attacks the Lair, still looking for water. Lion-O uses the Sword to make some rain, then he and Ben-Gali use the Thunderstrike to melt some ice, but Mumm-Ra comes along and causes a flood. Lion-O calls for the others, which also free Panthro and Snarf from the laughter and they use some of the Swamp's water to cause Mumm-Ra to laugh uncontrollably, and he falls in the flood waters and is washed away." ⚡Original Airdates: September 15, 1989 & September 16, 1989. ⚡ ✨Thank you to the "ThunderCats Wiki" for the plot synopsis✨ ⚡Dennis J.
