World on Fire

When your backyard burns, is anywhere safe? Welcome to World on Fire, a podcast that takes us to the front lines of out of control wildfires in Canada, Australia and the United States. Hosts Adrienne Lamb and Mike Flannigan look at what it takes to find hope in the midst of record breaking heat waves, and communities burning to the ground. As he approaches 80, Denis offers his singular piece of advice to the next generation of climate leaders. Then, environmental warriors Maria Blancas and Axcelle Campana share ideas on what a reinspired Earth Day could look like – including making it a public holiday. Then we’ll go to Fort McMurray, Alberta, where children are dealing with PTSD — even some who moved there after the fires.
