    Lakshmi Mittal: King of steel

Lakshmi Mittal grew up in Kolkata, where he gained early experience in his father’s steel business before founding his own steel mill in Indonesia in his twenties. By adopting mini-mill technology and electric arc furnaces, Lakshmi Mittal produced steel more efficiently than traditional methods and began acquiring underperforming state-owned mills around the world, setting him on his path to becoming a billionaire. Journalists Zing Tsjeng and Simon Jack trace his journey of entrepreneurship from one mill in Indonesia to leading ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steelmaker. They explore how Lakshmi Mittal navigated a split from the family business, executed bold global acquisitions, and reshaped a fragmented industry into a profitable, consolidated powerhouse. Luciano Benetton: Famous fashion to cultural controversy

Luciano Benetton rose from poverty in postwar Italy to found a chain of 7,000 high street fashion stores and create some of the most controversial advertising campaigns in history, becoming a billionaire along the way. Journalist Zing Tsjeng and BBC business editor Simon Jack discover how it all started for Luciano Benetton with a yellow sweater knitted by his sister, on a journey that takes in Benito Mussolini, Dolce Vita, Formula One, and Princess Diana. But Benetton wasn’t just about fashion; with photographer Oliviero Toscani, the entrepreneur launched a series of highly controversial ad campaigns that tackled race, religion, AIDS, and the death penalty, that made the fashion brand infamous. Good Bad Billionaire is the podcast that explores the lives of the super-rich and famous, tracking their wealth, philanthropy, business ethics and success. Tyler Perry: Homeless to Hollywood entrepreneur

From a childhood marked by abuse and trauma, Tyler Perry worked whatever jobs he could to fund his self-written and produced play for six years: sometimes performing to an audience of just one. But then success literally came calling for the future billionaire, and kick-started his rise in showbiz. Journalists Zing Tsjeng and Simon Jack explore how Tyler Perry’s faith, relentless work ethic, and deep understanding of his audience helped him defy critics and reshape Black entertainment. From the creation of his iconic Madea character to founding Tyler Perry Studios, the first Black-owned major film studio in the US, his story reflects the power of ownership and knowing your audience. As his friend and mentor Oprah Winfrey advised him, Perry made it his mission to "write his own cheques" and remain "fully in control". #1339- How to Make an Extra 1-2k Per Week BDAY PODCAST 🎉

The Ultimate Blueprint: How to Add $1-2K Per Week to Your Coaching Business 💰 In today's masterclass, I'm breaking down the exact system I've given to over 11,868 coaches that they've used to add an extra $1-2K per week in revenue to their coaching business. This isn't theory - this is the proven blueprint that's helped my clients go from struggling with a few hundred followers to making $10K, $60K, even $200K+ per month. Real quick - I run a company called PT Domination where I help coaches start and scale successful online businesses. My biggest flex? I've helped 11,865 coaches build real businesses, and we maintain a 1% dispute rate because 99% of our clients are satisfied with the service. That's fucking insane when you think about it. I'm going to show you exactly why views don't equal clients, how to use hyper-specific messaging to stand out in a saturated market, and how to capitalize on the holidays (November and December should be your record-breaking months, not slow months). Plus, I'm breaking down the exact follower ad strategy that's getting my clients 50 cents to $1 per follower while they book 1-2 sales calls every single day. Top Quotes: "Views do not equal clients. That's a super fucking important distinction to make. So many fitness coaches are posting on social media, trying to get more views. But views do not equal clients." (4:59) "The holidays are not a slow time for fitness coaches. The holidays are the busiest time of the year. November and December should be your record-breaking months. Black Friday every year is a record-breaking month across all coaching programs." (20:27) "You guys think that people are gonna line up and send you cash just because they're following you or engaging with your content.,, Your only intention as an online coach who wants to make an extra 1-2k a week is to get more conversations in the inbox." #1333- It's Time To Move On...

Allow me to reintroduce myself: why I disappeared and what I'm doing differently now 🎙️ In this episode, I'm back after months away from solo podcasting, and I'm pulling back the curtain on why I stopped, what's changed, and where we're going from here. Because the truth is, I got bored talking about the same beginner shit when it became second nature, lost my live streaming in March, and watched my podcast downloads drop from 100k to 33k a month. Ouch.  But here's what brought me back: I'm on a mission to scale from one million to two million dollars a month, and that journey required me to make some of the hardest decisions of my life - including letting go of 15 team members, some who'd been with me for years. And I realized I needed to start talking about what I'm actually learning and working on right now, not recycling the same old content. So if you're stuck at a plateau and wondering why you can't break through to the next level... tune into this episode 🔥 Top Quotes: "You only have 16 waking hours. And in those 16 waking hours, the people, places, circumstances, and things that you spend your time on are going to determine your success or failure in life." (6:40) "Some people are in your life for a season, and that season, if you just continue to hold onto it, can become your entire life." (6:06) "I know what I'm capable of. I know what I deserve. I know that I am worthy. And I'm not willing to accept anything less than excellence in my life. In every area." #1332- Removing Friends From Your Life That Drag You Down

Your friends right now won't be there when you make it to the top (and that's okay) 💔 In this episode, Cole and I are diving into one of the most painful truths about success that nobody wants to talk about: the people in your life right now probably won't be there when you reach your goals. And before you get defensive, hear us out - because this isn't about being a shitty friend or thinking you're better than everyone else. The reality is, you can't grow into the person you want to become while hanging around people who keep you stuck as who you were. We break down the difference between givers and takers, why some people hide their laziness behind false ambition, and the heartbreaking moment when you realize someone you care about is actually slowing you down - even if they're a good person. We also get real about the "lonely chapter" every entrepreneur goes through, where you don't fit in with your old crew anymore but haven't quite leveled up enough to connect with the people where you're trying to go. It's uncomfortable as f*ck, but it's the price you pay for transformation. So if you're holding onto friendships that are dragging you down because you're afraid of being alone or you feel guilty... this one's for you.  Top Quotes: "I'm not willing to compromise the place that I'm trying to get to, or the destination I'd like to reach, or my own quality of life, to keep somebody in my life that isn't willing to walk that fucking path with me." (2:33) "You are currently sitting in quicksand with just my nose and my mouth sticking out of the fucking sand itself. That's how it feels trying to grow and scale in business, trying to grow and scale on social media, trying to break free of old identity to become the new version of you." (14:27) "Trees don't hang out with the grass even though they started at the same place. They continue to grow to become what they were meant to be instead of sticking around with the thing that they started with." How to Make Sure Your Recipes Succeed - Real Recipe Development with Sally Cameron

In episode 507, Megan chats to Sally Cameron about the process of recipe development, including thorough testing, catering for your readers' needs, food safety and building trust through recipes that succeed time and time again. Sally is a professionally trained chef, recipe developer, online content creator, speaker, and certified health and nutrition coach. She created all of the recipes for Dr. Mark Hyman's NYT best seller Eat Fat Get Thin, the NYT million copy bestseller "The Daniel Plan: 40 Days to a Healthier Life" companion cookbook, and Sony Five Essentials video series. She's been blogging at A Foodcentric Life longer than she'd like to admit. Changing her diet by going gluten-free and focusing on whole fresh foods, lots of plants, nuts, seeds, healthy fats and quality proteins helped her lose weight, get healthy, detox from heavy metals, and recover from Lyme, mold, and gut issues. With all of that, it's no surprise that special diets are her forte, because healthy is a lifestyle. Fun Fact: Sally's fun fact is they did a two week expedition to Antarctica because they like to shoot landscape photography too. It was utterly amazing. In this episode, you'll learn the different steps of developing great recipes and why this is a crucial element to a successful, revenue-generating blog. Sally provides practical tips about recipe writing and revision, including keyword consideration and making the most of flavor profiles. - Definition and Purpose: What is the purpose of the recipe? Is it for your blog or for a sponsored post or a client? - Find Inspiration: Keep notes about flavors, ingredients, beautiful photos and restaurant meals and other recipes that inspire you. - Find the Right Keyword: Before putting effort into recipe testing, research keywords and brainstorm ideas around your recipe (e.g. does your recipe fit within your niche, how is it different?). - Be Creative: Find ways to make it easier, faster and more fun for readers or ways to cater for specific dietary needs. - Recipe Testing and Revision: Test, revise, and make adjustments to your recipes to ensure your readers are able to reproduce it. - Equipment Considerations: Consider readers' kitchen equipment and provide alternative methods for those with limited tools. - Food Safety and Testing: Do a thorough test for food safety, including cooling and storage trials and check verified online resources for food safety information. - Consistency in Recipe Writing: Be consistent in recipe writing, including clear instructions, accurate measurements, and detailed notes for successful replication.
