While gas prices have recently declined, a new gas-tax increase and heavy holiday travel may offset some of those savings. Meanwhile, families can expect to pay more for traditional barbecue foods and fireworks compared with last year.  Trump argued that falling oil prices should translate into much cheaper gasoline and warned retailers against what he described as price gouging. He called for prices near $2.50 per gallon, threatened unspecified “big problems” for retailers that do not lower prices, and said the Justice Department is already examining whether consumers are being overcharged.  Central Valley Honor Flight continues to provide memorable Washington, D.C., trips for local veterans, but organizers say future flights depend on community support.     Couple Climbs To Top Of Empire State Building & A Floating Hamster Wheel

    A couple wearing black climbed to the top of the Empire State Building's transmitter, and by the time they climbed back down, they were engaged, and then arrested. Angela Nikolau, 33, and Ivan Kuznetsov, 32, were hit with numerous charges following their stunt, including burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, violation of local laws, possession of burglar's tools, criminal tampering, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.  Reza Baluchi tried to "run" across the Atlantic Ocean inside a giant floating hamster wheel bound for London. The Coast Guard deemed the voyage dangerously unsafe, intervened during a days-long standoff, and eventually removed him from the vessel.
