Holy wind, Batman! Before all the snow & cold weather, we got a bunch of wind and rain during the overnight. Today is Friday the 13th…our second of the year. One more in November. And in honor of this day, we looked at a list of 13 facts about Friday the 13th. Doc joined us just after 8am to talk NASCAR racing thanks to County Materials in Holmen & Eau Claire. We asked each other Hypothetical Questions today and Brian's question for Jean was: "Would you rather be able to speak all human languages or be able to speak to animals?" Meanwhile, Jean's question for Brian was: "Would you rather go 100 years into the future or 100 years into the past?" 7. Hypothetical Thursday. No Office Cora. A really sad story.

    5 MAR

Hypothetical Thursday. No Office Cora. A really sad story.

The line at the car wash was long, but it was sooooo worth the wait yesterday!   Truck was absolutely filthy. I see some rain in the forecast tomorrow. Might even get a thunderstorm!   It's Hypothetical Thursday on the show, so we asked each other hypothetical questions this morning. Jean's question was: "Would you rather have to grill 100% of your food or microwave it all?"   Brian's question was: "What would be the worst thing to be allergic to?"   Sadly, Office Cora was sick this morning, but we still hooked you up with some things to do in the 715 this weekend.   In the news this morning, and update on the search for Nancy Grace, the Wendy's CEO has thrown his hat into the "burger taste-testing" arena, a recall on frozen items from Trader Joe's, and a proposal to ban cell phones in classrooms in Wisconsin.   In sports, the Bucks lost again last night, the Badgers handily beat Maryland, an update on the World Baseball Classic, and legendary college football coach Lou Holtz died yesterday. And did you see this ref get punched at a college basketball game last night?   Elsewhere in sports, a Bears player retires unexpectedly, the NFL announced the opponents for this upcoming season's Hall of Fame game, and Dick Vitale is going to be on the call for one of the First Four men's basketball games in the March Madness tourney.   We talked about what's on TV today/tonight, and we also discussed what happened on Survivor last night(dude shit himself). Also, a possible Sphere being built in Nashville?    Did you hear about the "mini miracle" on the Hudson River from a few days ago? Same scenario, just on a smaller scale as the original "Miracle on the Hudson" from 2009. A dog that spent most of her life at a shelter in Tennessee is now going to her fur-ever home, and a cat in Ireland that was missing for two weeks was just found in the wall of the home!   Is this the saddest story of all time? An 82-year-old man who fought to get a traffic light installed at the intersection where his wife was killed in 2024 died on Monday in a car crash in the very same place. The traffic light was never added.   And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a "cool mom" in Utah who was arrested after she allegedly served alcohol to numerous children at a birthday party last weekend, a bar in Pittsburgh got an unwelcome guest last weekend, a woman in Canada who has run afoul of the Spice Girls, and a #FloridaWoman who got arrested for DUI and punched a cop in the face. Grant Bilse. Both of us back in studio. How much does the average woman spend on "wellness"?

After a few days of being here & not being here…we're both back this morning to get you over the hump on Workforce Wednesday with some freebies from GameDay Men's Health! Brian was in the Twin Cities on Monday night and recapped his experience at the Bad Omens/Beartooth/President show. In the news this morning, the legendary Bruce Campbell has cancer, Washington State is apparently pre-banning "forced employee microchips", a new trend at bars & restaurants is bone-broth cocktails, and the fast-food burger wars heats up again with the CEOs of Burger King & McDonald's taste-testing their new offerings. Elsewhere in sports, the Atlanta Falcons are going to play in Madrid next season, the Pittsburgh women's basketball coach gets canned, a new LED court makes it's debut in the Big 12, and an NBA player disagrees with the upcoming "Magic City Monday" promotion. Because we were both off yesterday, we decided to get Grant Bilse of the Wisco Sports Show on the phone this morning! We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and also talked about what's new on DVD this week. Plus, a celebrity version of "Squid Game" is apparently coming to Netflix. Today is "National Grammar Day" and it's also "Discover What Your Name Means Day"…so we looked that up. Got an update on Punch the monkey, and a heart-warming story about a guy who's battling cancer that recently got a very nice surprise. According to a new survey, the average woman spends $1,600 every year on "wellness", so we tried to figure out if Jean spent the same amount(she didn't) And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who got a DUI while taking his driving test, a brawl in the drive-thru of a Wendy's, a dude who allegedly had a brain hemorrhage after playing video games for 4 days & three nights, and a serial donut shop robber in California.
