    Trump Is Robbing Us Blind

This week on The Necessary Conversation, Chad, Haley, and Mary Lou discuss the biggest political topics of the week while Bob continues to recover. We discuss: 🔍 Trump subpoenaed streamer Hasan Piker and CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin over a humanitarian convoy to Cuba, raising serious First Amendment concerns. Meanwhile, we learned Trump made over 3,700 stock trades in his first three months of 2026 — more than 40 per market day — buying shares in companies like Nvidia, Oracle, and AMD right before announcing policies that sent their stocks soaring. He even posted Palantir's ticker symbol on Truth Social, the first time a sitting president has ever endorsed a specific stock. We ask: how is this not insider trading? 💰 Trump settled his $10 billion lawsuit against his own IRS by creating a $1.7 billion taxpayer-funded "Anti-Weaponization Fund" — essentially a slush fund for his allies, including nearly 1,600 January 6 rioters he already pardoned. About 40 of those pardoned rioters have since been rearrested for crimes including child sexual assault, rape, and conspiracy to murder FBI agents. The officers who were beaten defending the Capitol got nothing. Now the people who beat them are about to get paid. 🏦 But that wasn't even the worst part. Buried in the settlement was a one-page addendum declaring the U.S. government is "FOREVER BARRED" from pursuing any tax claims against Trump, his family, or his businesses — ever. Every American can be audited. Trump just made himself exempt. We ask Mom how she'd feel if Obama did this. 📺 We simmer down with everyone's favorite TV show of all time. ☠️ Trump lifted a ban on M-44 "cyanide bombs" — spring-loaded devices that spray lethal poison into an animal's mouth — for use on public lands. They've killed pets, endangered wildlife, and even poisoned people. He also blocked federal protections for monarch butterflies despite a 99% extinction probability for western monarchs. Mom loves monarchs. We have questions. 💧 The EPA repealed limits on PFAS "forever chemicals" in drinking water — rolling back the first new standards in 30 years. These chemicals never break down, accumulate in your body, and cause cancer, thyroid disease, and reproductive harm. Meanwhile, AI data centers are emerging as a major new source of PFAS contamination, poisoning thousands of drinking water wells. 💒 And finally — Donald Trump Jr. got married this week and his father didn't show up. Trump cited "circumstances pertaining to Government" but has found time for golf, UFC fights, and a two-day trip to China. We ask: is Trump a good dad? Has he been a good husband? The full family is firing on all cylinders this week. You don't want to miss this one. 🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss an episode. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — we read them all. #TrumpInsiderTrading #January6 #PFAS #CyanideBombs #HasanPiker #TaxExempt #MonarchButterflies #DonJrWedding #TheNecessaryConversation #FamilyPodcast #PoliticalDebate #MAGA #Liberal If you have a question for anyone on the show, record it in a 1 minute or under audio or video clip and send it to: thenecessaryconversationpod@gmail.com

    Trump's China Trip

This week on The Necessary Conversation, Bob is still out dealing with some medical issues so Mary Lou, Chad and Haley hold down the fort and discuss: 🇨🇳 Trump took a two-day trip to China that was widely seen as a humiliation for America. President Xi called the U.S. a "declining nation," sat Trump in a smaller chair, and made zero commitments on Iran. Trump brought a squad of billionaires — including Elon Musk and Tim Cook on Air Force One — plus Eric and Lara Trump, but not Melania. He did bring his 34-year-old executive assistant Natalie Harp, fueling speculation. He left with nothing. 🤷 Trump said the quiet part out loud — twice. When asked if Americans' financial situations were motivating him to make a deal with Iran, he said: "Not even a little bit. I don't think about Americans' financial situation. I don't think about anybody." Gas hit $4.50/gallon the same day. When Fox's Bret Baier gave him a chance to walk it back, he doubled down: "Short-term pain. I'd make it again." 🏙️ NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani hit his 100-day mark and the results are in: he eliminated New York's $12 billion deficit, launched universal childcare, secured $30 million from bad landlords, and repaired over 6,000 apartments. Mom said New York would fall under Mamdani. We check in on that prediction. 🗣️ We simmer down with a round of speaking gibberish. 💰 Trump is expected to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS in exchange for creating a $1.7 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund to compensate allies — including nearly 1,600 January 6 defendants he already pardoned. The money comes from the Treasury's Judgment Fund, Trump has unchecked authority over who gets it, and there's zero oversight. ⚓ FBI Director Kash Patel got into a screaming match with a senator over his drinking — then we learned he took a "VIP snorkel" over the sunken USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, where more than 900 sailors and Marines are still entombed. A marine veteran called it "like having a bachelor party at a church." 🎬 Trump's Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy is starring in a new reality show called "The Great American Roadtrip" — funded by Boeing, Shell, Toyota, United Airlines, and Royal Caribbean, all companies his department directly regulates. Taxpayers are covering his travel. Shell's profits doubled from the gas price surge. And Duffy filmed over seven months, meaning he wasn't doing his actual job. We ask: is this what a cabinet is supposed to look like? Dad's back, the whole family is fired up, and this one goes everywhere. 🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss an episode. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — we read them all. #TrumpChina #GasPrices #Mamdani #KashPatel #PearlHarbor #SeanDuffy #January6 #TheNecessaryConversation #FamilyPodcast #PoliticalDebate #MAGA #Liberal If you have a question for anyone on the show, record it in a 1 minute or under audio or video clip and send it to: thenecessaryconversationpod@gmail.com

    Happy Mother's Day! 2026

This week on The Necessary Conversation, we celebrate Mother’s Day with a an update on Bob. And we cover the biggest political issues of the week, which have Mary Lou getting even closer to leaving the Maga cult. 🗳️ Democracy is crumbling in real time. In the wake of the Supreme Court's gutting of voting rights protections, Tennessee carved up a majority-Black district in Memphis, Alabama passed a law to ignore its own primary results, Louisiana's governor suspended primaries after votes had already been cast, and South Carolina is looking at eliminating its only Democratic district. Seven of the 13 House members targeted by these Republican-drawn maps are Black or Latino. Democrats are countering with their own maps — but Virginia's Supreme Court just struck theirs down. We ask: is any of this fair? Is any of it not racist? 🐂 Trump unveiled a 22-foot gold-leafed statue of himself called "Don Colossus" at his golf course in Miami. Evangelical and Jewish clergy consecrated it with prayers at the base. Christian commentators are calling it a modern-day golden calf straight out of the Book of Exodus. A Catholic newsletter wrote that "a faith that cannot say no to a golden calf is not Catholic." We ask Mom — as a Catholic — does this bother her? 💣 Week 10 of Trump's war with Iran and the ceasefire is officially dead. Trump launched "Operation Project Freedom" to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran responded with cruise missiles and drones, the U.S. destroyed six Iranian boats and disabled two oil tankers, and at least one sailor was killed. Trump called it "just a love tap" and insists the ceasefire is still in effect. Iran's foreign minister says otherwise. 🎉 We simmer down for a breather. 🎤 Trump threw a tantrum at ABC's Rachel Scott for asking why he's focused on construction projects while the country is at war and gas prices are soaring. He called her question "a disgrace to our country" and a forensic lip reader confirmed he called her "a bitch" on camera. This adds to a pattern that includes calling female reporters "piggy," "ugly, both inside and out," and "stupid and nasty." 🏗️ Remember when Trump said taxpayers wouldn't pay "a dime" for the White House ballroom? This week Senate Republicans tucked $1 billion in funding for it into an ICE and Border Patrol bill. Trump has said "I'm paying for it," "100% by me and some friends," "no charge to the taxpayer whatsoever," and "zero taxpayer dollars." Now we're paying for it. Sound familiar? Something about Mexico and a wall comes to mind. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. 🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss an episode. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — we read them all. #MothersDay #VotingRights #GoldenCalf #TrumpIran #DonColossus #RachelScott #WhiteHouseBallroom #TheNecessaryConversation #FamilyPodcast #PoliticalDebate #MAGA #Liberal If you have a question for anyone on the show, record it in a 1 minute or under audio or video clip and send it to: thenecessaryconversationpod@gmail.com

    86/47

This week on The Necessary Conversation, it's just Chad and Haley — the Lib Sibs holding it down. Mom and Dad are both out this week while Bob deals with some health issues. Love you, Dad. Get better soon. ❤️ ⚖️ Trump had James Comey indicted AGAIN — this time over an Instagram photo of seashells spelling "86 47" on a beach. The first indictment was already tossed by a judge. Acting AG Todd Blanche said they won't prosecute everyone who posts "86/47" — just Comey. We ask: is this anything other than political persecution? 📺 Trump and Melania are going after Jimmy Kimmel AGAIN, demanding Disney fire him over a joke calling Melania a "beautiful expectant widow." But this time Disney isn't folding — Kimmel's show aired as normal. We ask whether mainstream media is finally done bending the knee. 🗳️ The Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in a 6-3 party-line decision, striking down Louisiana's second majority-Black congressional district. Within an hour, Florida's Republican-controlled House passed an aggressively gerrymandered map. Every red state is expected to follow. Blue states say they'll do the same. We ask: is this the end of democracy as we know it? 🎉 We simmer down for a breather by discussing Trump's assassination attemtps. 👑 King Charles addressed a joint session of Congress in what was widely read as a carefully worded rebuke of Trump — championing rule of law, independent judiciary, NATO, and Ukraine. Trump posted a photo of them together captioned "2 Kings." We unpack the audacity. 🎖️ Pete Hegseth testified before Congress for the first time since the Iran war began and it went badly. He called Democrats and some Republicans "the biggest adversary we face," got caught in a major contradiction about Iran's nuclear program, and when Rep. Garamendi told him "You have been lying to the American public from day one," Hegseth responded: "Who are you cheering for?" 🇨🇺 And just when you thought one failing war was enough — Trump said the U.S. would be "taking over" Cuba "almost immediately" and signed an executive order expanding sanctions. We ask: will Republicans finally push back if he starts another war? Just the Lib Sibs this week but we brought the heat. Mom and Dad will be back soon. 🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss an episode. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — we read them all. #Comey #JimmyKimmel #VotingRightsAct #KingCharles #Hegseth #Cuba #TrumpIran #SupremeCourt #TheNecessaryConversation #FamilyPodcast #PoliticalDebate #MAGA #Liberal If you have a question for anyone on the show, record it in a 1 minute or under audio or video clip and send it to: thenecessaryconversationpod@gmail.com
