Remembering Rowdy with Eric Brennan & Tony Hirschman

The NASCAR family lost a member of its Mount Rushmore this week — Kyle Busch passed away at the age of 41. And while it may seem like no words can explain the grief the entire racing community feels, we invited his longtime spotter, Tony Hirschman, to the Door Bumper Clear table to share fond memories and mourn along our side. Also joining us is the newest phenom to hit the booth, Eric Brennan, who was the first to address the television airwaves after Rowdy's passing. We open up with Tony, Eric, Freddie Kraft, Tommy Baldwin, and Karsyn Elledge all describing the past few days and remembering the kind of person, father, and racer Kyle Busch was to all of us. After that, we get onto the racing this weekend — or lack thereof, thanks to Mother Nature's weather patterns.  In Spot On, Spot Off, the crew covers: -  Should Kyle Busch be instantly added to the NASCAR Hall of Fame? - The full circle moment of the Coca-Cola 600 trophy returning to Spire Motorsports, which was formerly Kyle Busch Motorsports - Questionable weather calls for the O'Reilly Series race - And whether or not the truck race could have gone one more lap In Reaction Theatre, fans called in to share memories of meeting Rowdy and lift our spirits with some jokes along the way. In Ask DBC, we ask the spotters how difficult it is to tell the red, white, and blue paint schemes apart on Memorial Day Weekend. And in DBC Picks, the gang chooses their top dogs for Nashville. This might not have been the most fun show to tape, but it was important for all of us to get together and honor Kyle Busch's life. Our thoughts and prayers are with Samantha, Brexton, Lennix, Kurt, and the entire Busch family as they go through this tragic time. Want more DBC? Will Kyle Busch or Ryan Preece Be Penalized?

Door Bumper Clear has returned from Texas, and they brought back the pink mini truck driving, tattoo sleeve having, Pacific Northwesterner, Spotter for Alex Bowman, Sam Mayer, Tyler Ankrum, and a guy named Cleetus McFarland — Kevin Hamlin! They start off the race talking about Bowman's return from having vertigo, Cleetus's development as a racer, and recapping the events from the top 3 NASCAR series races the weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. In Spot On, Spot Off, the gang gets into: - Should a caution have come out for John Hunter Nemechek coming to the last lap? - The probability of Kyle Busch or Ryan Preece being penalized for on-track drama - Does Texas get a bad wrap? - A lesson in truck series tech with Tommy Baldwin - The new track limits at Watkins Glen When Chase Elliott wins, we can always count on his fans to leave us some doozies in our voicemail inbox during Reaction Theatre. In S*** Show Hall of Fame, Freddie shares the mishaps he saw this weekend, including a rain day for late models down under, a HUGE spectator drag crash, and Maggio's near miss with the pace car. For Ask DBC, Kevin Hamlin details the most important aspect of working with driver subs, the world of stock car racing in the Pacific Northwest, and how he wound up with a pink Kei truck. Finally, the crew makes their picks, shouts out their winners, and gets ready for next weekend at Watkins Glen. Go buy our merch at shop.dirtymomedia.com to rep our gear! Want more DBC? An Unhinged Episode With Noah Gragson & Chase Briscoe

Attention Door Bumper Clear listeners, please buckle up for the ride you are about to experience -- Noah Gragson & Chase Briscoe have entered the studio, and the episode you are about to enjoy has clear chaos warnings directly ahead! In all seriousness, although this episode starts off the rails and never comes back, the Door Bumper Clear crew opens up the show and discusses everything from the ups and downs of the race weekend at Talladega to The Big One that took out Bubba Wallace. The topics we cover in Spot On, Spot Off are: - Carson Hocevar's all-time celebration - Did the stage changes provide the Superspeedway racing we want? - A pair of JR Motorsports cars get impeding penalties - Where Cleetus went wrong (and right!) In Reaction Theatre, a fan loses his train of thought, and Hocevar fans have a new catchphrase for their love life. A familiar face shows up in the S*** Show Hall of Fame nominees list, and Ask DBC takes us inside the rivalry between Noah and Chase's son, Brooks. Then things start to pick up around DBC picks, where Noah and Chase quiz Freddie on his knowledge of the moon's effects on grip. This leads to Noah Grason calling Riley Herbst, Josh Berry, and Austin Dillon to prove his point about the waxing crescent moon. All we know is, we'll be keeping a much closer eye on qualifying this weekend for the No. 4 and No. 19 than we originally would have otherwise. This is one of Door Bumper Clear's most hilarious shows to date, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Don't forget to get your merch at shop.dirtymomedia.com AND come see us at Fan Day on May 21st at JR Motorsports for a live show that day. Want more DBC? Before You Blame Cody Ware, Tommy Wants To Speak

At risk of sounding like the well-overdone phrase from the Wizard of Oz, we're not in Kansas anymore — and the Door Bumper Clear crew probably couldn't be more glad about that. Freddie has read all of your tweets and messages, so he finally got his team owner to join the show! Sam Hunt, the owner of Dean Thompson & Harrison Burton's NOAPS ride, comes in to tell his story of going from driver to owner, how that transition happened, and what the day-to-day of his job looks like. After hearing from Sam, he joins in with the gang in reacting to the big moments from the race weekend at Kansas, including: Carson Kvapil's big flip, Corey Day's misstep & Cody Ware's race-changing spin out. In Spot On, Spot Off, we cover: - Denny Hamlin & Kyle Busch's back and forth stemming from Action Detrimental - The 11's lane choice for the final restart - Austin Hill's comments about the incident with Jesse Love - Is Ford falling behind? Our race fans teed off on the field in Reaction Theatre, although there was a common theme amongst them all... In S*** Show Hall of Fame, Bowman Gray rears its ugly head for the first time this season, and we don't expect it to be the last time this year. During Ask DBC, Sam Hunt answers questions about his moments that make him take it all in and what band tee he would wear if he could only wear one. And last but not least, everyone goes around and makes their picks for Talladega, shouts out their weekend winners, and teases a possible guest that Tommy might miss next week — stay tuned! We Asked NASCAR President Steve O'Donnell Your Questions

No need to pinch yourselves, Door Bumper Clear fans, this is real! NASCAR's President Steve O'Donnell joins the show, and yes, we are just as shocked as you are. We start off with Freddie Kraft asking Steve about the topics he saw come up most in a post he put on Twitter, where he asked fans what they would ask NASCAR's President if they could. The topics covered the Next Gen car, stage breaks, and the return of Preseason Thunder at Daytona. After that, the crew digs into the action from the three top series of stock car racing this weekend at Bristol. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics we brought to the table were:  - Christian Eckes & Corey Heim's incident - Rodney Childers and Tyler Allen's strategy calls - The probability that Ty Gibbs wins another race this season - Talladega's stage changes and what it means moving forward You guys brought the heat this week in Reaction Theatre! Callers weighed in on Blaney's pit crew, the unreal amount of Landon's racing in the CARS Tour, and a fan's tale of two dollars. After a fiery S*** Show Hall of Fame (pun intended), we ask Steve about advice he's been given over his career and the role social media plays in the sport. In closing, we make our picks for Kansas, shout out the winners from the weekend, and wrap up a great show with Steve O'Donnell. Thanks for listening, and be sure to check out shop.dirtymomedia.com to get some DBC merch - we see you out there wearing it! Want more DBC? Check out and subscribe to the new DBC YouTube channel!
