*Edited: I founded this podcast randomly when I was looking for German podcast conceived for beginner learners. I was amazed since the first episode when I realized in fact it wasn’t just a podcast but a quick fun lesson every time. I loved the structure and the progression plan. The fact the episodes were built around a real-life conversational situation, the story of Paul life, was the best. Following the series of lessons on a website where people can go deeper in learning and in practice was a reward. *Hi again. Christian resolved my issue. I now can enter to his website and I'm really happy with the learning experience. I recommend you all with any hasitation. The story I'm telling on the following lines it's not relevant anymore*.
It was October 2024 when I subscribed to the website german-stories.com. My bank receipt arrived to my e-mail inmediately, but the subscription confirmation from the website arrived until February 2025. Before that, I tryed to sign in to the website to figure out there what had happened. The problem was I fogot my password and that I never managed to get the website to sent me the password recovery link. I tried with different e-mails, but that never worked. I thought I registered with an nonexistent e -mail (mixing up my servers accounts by mistake). Right away I wrote a message on the website’s message box asking for help. No one ever answered it. In February 2025, when I get acces to the site, I was very sad and frustrated when I discovered that my subscription wasn't marked there. Since October 2024 I had the idea of getting in touch with Christian Leutner through his social media accounts to ask him for an explanation. But, since in every episode of this podcast he ask his listeners to give a review on Apple Podcast, I wait to find the moment to write this here. (The procedure is a little complicated to do without an Apple device). Well, I still plan to message him on his socials (*I did it an he answered and helped me to resolve the issue :)*), so he can fix the issue and I can come back to give him all the stars. (*That's what i did*). I continue to believe this podcast is a very useful and effective way to learn German, and that Lochner is a good and very nice teacher that really helps people to speak his language. I would just suggest to him to consider to reduce the length of the sentences on the repetition exercise, just for people like me who haven’t a very good short-term memory could follow him. Apart from that, I enjoy listening to the podcast despite the bad experience I mentioned, experience that even made me stop listening to this podcast for several months. (*I came back to listen to the podcast again!. That makes me happy. Everything is alright now!*)
