Why PTSD made Army Vet Jason Kander Leave Politics (RECAST)

While President Barack Obama was in office, he gave a speech shouting out army veteran Jason Kander as “the future of the Democratic party”. The events that followed were shocking. Jason started making his rounds as a presidential hopeful in 2018, before dropping out of politics altogether after facing the repercussions of his PTSD from the war in Afghanistan. Today, his work is dedicated to stop veteran homelessness and curb suicide rates with his work as the President of National Expansion for the Veteran’s Community Project, and with his new book “Invisible Storm” where he speaks about acknowledging his PTSD for the first time. I love the concept of the podcast and how it helps the co founder of Reddit to develop himself and his business while at the same time sharing with us, I just have a small request to make. I noticed that when a male is speaking the title of the Podcast says only his name, assuming everyone knows this person, and when a woman comes on the show the company or what they do is put in the title with her name absent, As a man I don’t know half the males in here, and I probably won’t know the women either. But with her name on the title some will, and be attracted to the episode, just a matter of respect and equal recognition.
