    20 - All Apologies

    19: Mormon + LGBTQ ally?

A lot of thoughts about what it means to be an LGBTQ ally and “faithful” Mormon.

    18: On Influence

So many thoughts from the last few months. I try to get them out here. Who knows how well I’ve done.

    17: “Ofc BLM”

I’m reading from these two things. You may want to follow along. https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/president-oaks-byu-devotional-october-2020-talk https://www.deseret.com/opinion/2020/9/18/21439917/generation-z-young-adults-activism-social-justice-movements-black-lives-matter

    16: It’s Ok to Change

Mormon ppl idolize those who “hold to the rod” even when confronted with contradicting facts. Believing the unbelievable shouldn’t be idolized. Anyway, more on this in this episode. Also here’s the link I mentioned. V good. https://jonogden.medium.com/a-letter-to-trump-supporting-latter-day-saints-8094ed648f57

    15: Love and Loyalty

When loyalty to an institution takes precedent over your love for people, there is a problem. This episode explores that a little bit more in depth

    14: Social justice!...but

This article is... bad. https://www.sltrib.com/news/2020/08/24/lds-apostle-vows-support/ Links to Cook robbing Marin Co. https://www.slideshare.net/Mormons4justice/new-l-d-s-apostle-quentin-l http://www.coastalpost.com/97/8/2.htm https://web.archive.org/web/20070914155839/http://www.pacificsun.com:80/square/index.php?i=3&d=&t=358

    13: “Chastity” interviews

Bishops interviews are... not good. Way too.much damage can occur for very, very little “benefits”. The article I’m referencing: https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2020/08/16/lds-bishops-interviews/ Super super important reading from a therapist on masturbation. https://www.patheos.com/blogs/mormontherapist/2012/08/my-official-stance-on-masturbation.html/amp
