She was awarded an NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship in 2023 to undertake her PhD at La Trobe University and Eastern Health, investigating how the timing of exercise and cancer rehabilitation influences patient and health service outcomes.  Briana Clifford, PhD, is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, researcher and Senior Lecturer at UNSW Sydney with over 10 years of clinical experience supporting people with cancer and complex conditions. Her research focuses on exercise oncology, particularly managing cancer-related fatigue, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and other treatment side effects. She also teaches cancer and exercise content and is passionate about improving access to high-quality, evidence-based exercise support for cancer survivors.
