    In this episode I talk with my good friend Dr Meg Dennison. Meg is a psychologist and was the first person I knew to have a PhD.  Meg and I met through rock climbing. After climbing a few times together, we soon discovered there was more to our friendship than just climbing…including a love of thinking, learning and talking. Today Meg and I chat about her PhD and post PhD experiences, which include a postdoc in the States and a move to country Victoria in search of community and work-life balance.

    This podcast is the first episode in my inaugural series Friends with PhDs. Having just finished my PhD late last year, I thought I’d make a space for PhD reminiscing, and what better people to do this with than friends who’ve been there, done that. In this episode I interview my good friend Dr Andi Salamon. Andi is an early childhood specialist with over 20 years of experience including as teacher and centre director. Andi graduated from her doctorate in 2016 and now teaches education studies at Charles Sturt University. Andi’s interests focus on infants in early childhood education. She is a strong advocate for infants’ rights and is passionate about promoting socially just early years experiences for all children.
