    Great discussion with Leigh Povia and Christian Clayton on the SJS1 Podcast to talk with us about Play Therapy, trauma informed treatment, neurofeedback, and parent, player and coach behavior. Leigh Povia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist and Board Certified in Neurofeedback. Leigh is also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and trainer. She has taught internationally about working with Traumatized Children. Leigh is also a mother of a student-athlete and owns Center For Dynamic Growth in Mercer County. Christian Clayton is a Neurofeedback Technician at Center For Dynamic Growth. He is currently a retired hockey player. Christian played Ice Hockey from age 4-18. He has developed an interest in supporting peak performance in athletes as well as concussion rehabilitation.

    Show 1: Live with Beau Morki, U.S. Club Soccer Regional Training Director

    Welcome to the SJS1 very first podcast. Our first visit is from U.S. Club (@usclubsoccer) Regional Training Director Beau Morki. Morki holds a U.S. Soccer (@ussoccer) National A License, an NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, a U.S. Youth National License, and is NASPE certified. He currently serves as the Director of Coaching for the Westchester Youth Soccer League and Technical Director of Eastern Football Club. We feel it is essential for South Jersey Soccer League (and other leagues) coaches to take grassroots training. The coaches will learn what the U.S. player needs, the U.S. Soccer Philosophies, the different stages of development. We believe you should take the grassroots training in strides: (7v7 when you coach a 7v7 team, 9v9 when you coach a 9v9 team, and so on), understanding the game, and how to structure an activity. We feel this will help with coaching behavior during game day. Every week we are going to host a podcast.
