Hadean Press Podcast #33 - She of the Night - Idlu Lili Regulus

Welcome to our first podcast of 2026. The Hadean team is very happy to announce that we will be expanding our interviews to include authors we have found to be especially important to the exploration of Folklore, Grimoires and the Underworld, especially for practitioners of magic as well as those curious about its long history. In this month’s podcast we are very happy to introduce my friend and fellow practitioner, Lili Regulus and their monumental two-volume exploration of one of sorcery’s most notoriously chthonic and untamed forces, Lilith, her history in context and the many threads of culture, religion and magic which have woven together to usher her into the 21st century. ‘She of the Night’, was released last year and is a tour de force of knowledge and spellcraft conjured into being by Lili Regulus and put out into the World by the excellent folks at Theion Publishing. In this episode we discuss the origins of Lilith, the magica materia of the Hoopoe and Hyena, the qualities of Light-Fleeing Spirits, the Lady of the Mountains, the Seven Winds, the enigmatic Four Queens and the nature of the Untamed Feminine. You can find Lili’s book through Theion Publishing here: https://theionpublishing.com/shop/ilr_she_of_the_night/ And you can find more from them through their Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/idlulili/ Please check out the Occult Library for reviews and details on books you might be curious about. https://www.occultlibrary.org/books-database/she-of-the-night

Hadean Podcast #27 - The Black Raven - Cummins & Johnson

This month we welcome back both Brian Johnson and Alexander Cummins who come to us today as a wonderful necromantic team to elucidate their most recent contribution, ‘The Black Raven - A Study in the Folk Necromancy of Early Modern Germany’, a translation of a fantastically practical grimoiric manual of Faustian ghost laying and treasure hunting. In this episode we discuss the origins and influences of this manuscript, its modularity and the nature of the larger ecology of spirit which surrounds it and its related texts. We explore the nature of the Stammgeist as a local haunting spirit, the manner in which people would interact with buried treasures, earth-spirits, paper circles, and the practical necessities of working this form of folk necromancy. You can find The Black Raven on the Hadean website at: https://hadean.press/products/the-black-raven?srsltid=AfmBOopNilGqkMv1BZUiJKBGOZzWwCzfjZhWY3862Wyx1oIpumWMOA0Q You can find more from Alexander Cummins here: www.alexandercummins.com/talks patreon.com/dralexandercummins IG @grimoiresontape And more form Brian Johnson here: bjohnsonfreelance.com @bjohnsonfreelance.bsky.social Texts cited in our conversation include: Magia Naturalis et Innaturalis - https://archive.org/details/doktorjohannesfa00sche/mode/2up Das Kloster - https://archive.org/details/bub_gb_RAJBAAAAcAAJ/mode/2up And the many fantastic translations produced by Enodia Press can be found here: https://enodiapress.com/#catalogue
