The conversation then moves on to recent interviews given by ex-Town players Max Crocombe and John McAtee and the surprising effect Grimsby has seemingly had on both of their careers before attentions turn to another potentially pivotal week ahead for The Mariners; Salford and Bromley fans Danny Shepherd and Andrew Miller helping preview back to back home games in Town’s on going search of a play-off place. +++ Hosted and produced by Chris Mills with guests Helen Walker and George Mann. The Mariners unbeaten start to 2026 finally came to an end on Saturday, going down 3-1 at relegation threatened Bristol Rovers. Host Matt and the panel begin by dissecting that and the mid-week draw with Walsall before exploring our new Achilles heel of defending set-pieces, the impact squad rotation may have had on performances and how much we may rue points dropped against teams in the bottom half. The guys then discuss the biggest takeaways from the recent fans forum and have their say on the thorny issue of the Blundell Park pitch. In Part Two Tom Wagstaff from the “Notts County Talk” Podcast joins the conversation to help preview Town’s trip to an in form Magpies side next Saturday and then the gang consider whether the play-offs are still a realistic aim for The Mariners with 14 games remaining. +++ Hosted by Matt Dannatt with guests Liam Wood and Steve Claybourn. Love And Squalor

The national media descended on Grimsby again this weekend with the arrival of Premier League side Wolves in the FA Cup 4th Round but sadly it was the Blundell Park pitch that stole the headlines and almost ruined the game as a contest. The panel begin by discussing the 1-0 defeat and how the state of the pitch may well have hindered Town more than their supposedly superior opposition. The guys then also look back at the important league win over Accrington mid-week which took them to within a point of the play-offs and the impact Maldini Kacurri and Tyrell Sellars-Fleming had on their first starts for the club. In Part Two, and in true football cliché style, the pod begin to ‘concentrate on the league’ and assess The Mariners play-off hopes and ambitions. Is seventy points a realistic aim? Will a larger squad allow Artell to keep players fresher for longer? And psychologically, is it easier to be the hunters rather than the hunted? +++ Hosted and produced by Chris Mills with guests Adam Howard and Sam Allen. It was a tale of two missed penalties in South Wales on Saturday As Town secured another point and clean sheet at struggling Newport. The panel begin by dissecting a game of contrasting halves for The Mariners and the growing influence striker Andy Cook is having on performances. They then discuss the significance of Wednesday’s home game against Accrington, the importance of Cameron McJannet’s one year contract extension and condemn the sexist abuse directed at female referee Kirsty Dowie during the MK Dons game. In Part Two, Dave Azzopardi from the “Talking Wolves” Podcast joins the guys to preview Grimsby’s big FA Cup 4th Round tie with Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers next Sunday. Are the side rock bottom of the Prem welcome of the cup distraction, what difference has Rob Edwards made since his appointment and which players are likely to feature at BP? And there’s a few memories of previous encounters between the two sides thrown in for good measure! +++ Hosted and produced by Chris Mills with guests Steve Young, Paul Savage and Dave Azzopardi. From a broken record to breaking records! Town’s 2-0 win at Cheltenham this weekend was their fourth consecutive win in the league and their fifth clean sheet in a row, the first time they’ve achieved such a feat since December 1997. The panel begin by reviewing the game and drill into the reasons why and how The Mariners have managed to continue their recent upturn in form. They then go on to elegize over the departure of club captain Danny Rose to Barrow this week but was it the right time to let him go? And how much will the side also miss defender Doug Tharme who appears to have been ruled out for the rest of the season with another injury? In Part Two the team look ahead to a potentially pivotal week for Grimsby with two tough games scheduled, first a trip Colchester on Tuesday night and then big spending MK Dons visit BP on Saturday in the early kick-off. Will our newly found defensive solidity be able to stand firm against two in-form and promotion fancied sides? +++ Hosted and produced by Chris Mills with guests Helen Walker and Charles Lumley.
