Yahya Raaby

Yahya Raaby (also spelled Yahya Al-Raaby) was born in Denmark and moved to the UK at a young age, where he studied under Somali scholars. He furthered his Islamic education by studying for approximately two years in the Ma’had program at Masjid An-Nabawi in Madinah. He also attained a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law. As a Quran reciter, Yahya Raaby is known for his beautiful and soothing recitations, which are often described as calming and emotionally resonant. He recites in a style that emphasizes clarity and contributes to a deeply reflective experience for listeners. Recordings of his recitations are widely available on digital Qur’anic archives. Beyond recitation, Yahya Raaby serves as an Arabic and Islamic Sciences instructor and delivers lectures across the UK and internationally. He also provides Friday sermons and leads prayers.
