Prof Tim Noakes opens Lived Experiences Melbourne

Speakers include Belinda Fettke; Dr Gary Fettke; Dr Peter Brukner; Natalie West; and many more! For all the details and to purchase your ticket: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/lived-experiences-in-health-and-healing-launceston-tickets-942932094277 You can connect with Prof: https://thenoakesfoundation.org/ https://nutrition-network.org/?affcode=173323_iz5sfedz Read how Lived Experiences came about: Almost a year ago, I was sitting in a Zoom room with a few of my coaching colleagues, and we were talking about how everyone's end goal is kind of the same. We want to have the energy and vitality to live a thriving life! We want good health, we want to feel good, we want to look good, and we want to feel more love for ourselves and each other. We then started to reflect on how ‘getting there’ isn’t the same path for everyone. We all shared how our paths were unique and looked vastly different. It was from this discussion that this Lived Experiences conference was born. This is an opportunity to bring together a gathering of like-minded people to share how different their paths toward discovering this vitality have been! One of the biggest barriers I’ve seen that used to trip me up all the time too, is that we all think that someone else has the ‘magic formula’ that we need. A set of instructions to follow to get the things we want. And there are plenty of people out there who will tell you that their way is the only way. Unfortunately, that only ever works in the short term. It rarely helps you to learn about yourself or why you make the choices you do, which without this self-awareness and understanding, we will always revert to those old habits. No matter how much we wish we didn’t. This is because the answers don’t live in other people’s formulas. Trying on other people’s formulas is like wearing another person’s wedding dress that is 2 sizes too small. It will never fit no matter how hard you try. And that’s not your fault is it. It’s just not the dress for you. The truth is the answers will never be found in any guide other than the one that lives within you. True teachers, healers, or high-impact coaches will guide you back to yourself, show you that you are the true expert, and will trust in your ability to find what truth is for you. They will tell you where to look, but they won’t tell you what to see. I saw this not long after I had this discussion with these coaches, and it sums it up beautifully I think. “There are hundreds of paths up the mountain, all leading to the same place, so it doesn’t matter which path you take. The only person wasting time is the one who runs around the mountain, telling everyone that his or her path is wrong.” Unknown. Two months ago, I reached out to Prof Tim Noakes to ask if he would be kind enough to record the opening talk for this conference. He is, after all, the epitome of lived experience and was the catalyst to me changing my life. He kindly recorded the 5-minute talk that you see here. When I first received it, I was a bit disappointed, as it wasn’t really what I wanted. He had made it about me when I wanted him to talk about himself! I wasn’t even sure if I could show it to be honest, as I in no way wanted this weekend to be about me. But upon reflection, which is a magical gift, I saw exactly what he was saying. And it wasn’t about me at all. It is about you. Can you hear what his message is for you? “How can I be more like you?” she asked the guru. And the guru answered, “The best way to be more like me is to be more like you.” Alan Cohen. May you make the choice daily to be more like you. Seed Oils: Friend or Foe? Dr Chris Knobbe

Join me as I interview Dr Chris Knobbe live all about the controversy that is seed oils. Should we really worry about them or not? Listen to Chris and then ask him all your questions! Chris Knobbe, MD, is a physician, researcher, ophthalmologist, and Associate Clinical Professor Emeritus, formerly of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Knobbe believes his most important role today is being a public health advocate. Dr. Knobbe is known primarily for his research, publications, and presentations connecting Westernized diets causally to numerous chronic diseases, including coronary heart disease, hypertension, stroke, cancers, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, autoimmune diseases, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Dr. Knobbe’s research has focused greatly on ‘vegetable oil’ (seed oil) dangers and their unequaled contributions to Westernized disease. In the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Knobbe is known for his revolutionary hypothesis and supportive research regarding the potentially blinding eye disease, AMD. Knobbe’s hypothesis holds that AMD is driven by processed, nutrient-deficient, and toxic foods, of which seed oils are the most pernicious and deleterious. Dr. Knobbe has delivered numerous presentations at CME events and has been a frequent presenter for the Ancestral Health Symposium, the Weston A. Price Foundation, the American Academy for Oral and Systemic Health (AAOSH), the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry (AAPMD), the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society (OWNS), Low Carb Denver, Low Carb Sydney (Australia), Metabolix (Israel), the Public Health Collaboration (PHC) UK (England), the Symposium for Metabolic Health, and the Macular Degeneration Association. He has given a number of keynote presentations for various organizations, including AAOSH, AAPMD, and OWNS. Dr. Knobbe is the author of two books in the field of nutrition: The Ancestral Diet Revolution (2023) and Ancestral Dietary Strategy to Prevent and Treat Macular Degeneration (2016). Dr. Knobbe is Founder and Director of both Ancestral Health Foundation and Cure AMD Foundation, nonprofit organizations with goals of treating and preventing chronic disease. Dr. Knobbe’s goals are altruistic and humanitarian, as he seeks to end preventable heart disease, cancer, blindness, and many other chronic diseases, through the profoundly beneficial effects of ancestral dietary strategies. Financial Disclosures None. Dr. Knobbe accepts no compensation from book sales, research, or for his role in directing Ancestral Health Foundation and Cure AMD Foundation. Contact Chris A.
