Qualcomm Soars, Boston Scientific Falls, Constellation Brands Declines

Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market, a look at the notable movers: On this episode of Stock Movers:- Qualcomm (QCOM) signed an agreement with Amazon.com Inc. to create customized chips for Amazon Web Services' AI infrastructure. The agreement gives Amazon the right to acquire as much as $4 billion in Qualcomm stock and will last through "multiple generations" of equipment. Qualcomm will start to book revenue from Amazon in its fiscal first quarter and has expressed confidence that it will achieve a $5 billion data center revenue target for fiscal 2027. Qualcomm investors applauded the agreement, sending the shares up as much as 8.7% to $183.49 in New York. It was their biggest intraday gain since June 25.- Boston Scientific (BSX) and Stryker (SYK) shares fell after the companies said they are dealing with the repercussions of separate cyber attacks. The cyber attacks curtailed the companies' ability to get products to customers and dented sales, with damage that could last for months. Both companies sell medical devices and are working to recover from the cyber incidents, with Boston Scientific's full operational recovery timeline remaining uncertain. Boston Scientific fell as much as 4.9% Tuesday in New York, while Stryker was down as much as 9.1%.- Constellation Brands (STZ) shares are down as much as 3.7%, to the lowest intraday since April 2020, as CEO Nick Fink and EVP/CFO Garth Hankinson speak at the Barclays consumer conference.
