Abdool Hamid

Abdool Hamid is an Islamic scholar and senior lecturer based in Toronto, Canada. He serves as Imam and Khateeb at the Islamic Institute of Toronto. He also works as an Islamic counsellor with the Islamic Social Services and Resource Association (ISSRA). He was born in Guyana, South America, and later earned a B.A. in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Madinah. His studies focused on Hadith methodology and Qur’an sciences. He now resides in Toronto with his wife and six children. He leads weekly lectures and courses at the Institute, covering topics like Qur’an tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh of worship, seerah, and Islamic inheritance laws. He guides the annual Hajj group, helping over 75 pilgrims each year, and hosts regular live Q&A and tafseer sessions. Abdool Hamid is known for his clear, balanced style.
