  1. Episode 1

The Holy Knight - Chapter One

In "Chapter One," the story opens in the slums of Feramis, where a young boy silently watches his parents destroy each other in one final, fatal fight. In the aftermath, with no family left and no one willing to help, he is sold into the hands of a bandit commander through an underground market. What follows is years of quiet, unseen growth as the boy endures harsh training, isolation, and the hatred of those who sense something unusual about him. He never speaks unless spoken to, never flinches under pressure, and survives a dangerous mystical substance called the stain that breaks the minds of the weak. His first real mission sends him into a foreign castle where a mistake leads him to the room of a sharp-tongued girl who can somehow see through his cloak. She gives him a map, a cup of water, and the first kind moment he has known in years. By the time the mission ends and his whole squad abandons him, the boy finishes the job alone and walks back to base dragging his heavy lance. This opening chapter sets the tone for everything to come, establishing a hero defined not by what he says, but by what he endures. The Holy Knight - Chapter Two

In "Chapter Two," nearly a decade has passed and the boy is no longer a boy. Now one of the youngest black wings in history, he leads a squad of veterans on a classified mission to guard a royal carriage headed for the capital. What begins as a routine escort turns into an aerial ambush of staggering scale, and with his squad hidden in the shadows, he steps forward alone and dismantles the threat in a single, precise move. The woman inside the carriage turns out to be a princess and she is nothing like he expected. Bold, unbothered, and completely unafraid, she walks right past her own guards to get a closer look at who saved her. When he removes his hood and she sees his face, the entire escort goes silent. She asks him to appear before her father for a reward he cannot legally accept, and his commander laughs it off as a royal game. But three weeks later, a letter arrives bearing the king's seal and it cannot be ignored. This chapter marks the turning point from soldier to something far more complicated as the silent warrior is pulled out of the shadows and into the light for the first time. 3. Episode 3

The Holy Knight - Chapter Three

In "Chapter Three," the young soldier arrives at the royal palace and is welcomed into the grandest hall in the kingdom, only to discover that the king already knows everything about him including the stain. He is knighted, stripped of the right to ever marry or have children, assigned to the royal order, and handed over to a cathedral with a single clerk and an endless hall of empty rooms. What follows is one of the most quietly extraordinary sequences in the story, as the clerk puts him through a series of tests that are not tests at all until they are. Patience, humility, curiosity, honesty and the ability to sit still in a room full of stain and never lose himself. By the end of a single evening, the vast dining hall that had appeared empty reveals itself to be full of holy knights who have been there all along, and the clerk gives him a name that the entire order stamps its feet to honour. This chapter transforms the story entirely, trading the brutality of the early pages for something deeper and more philosophical, as the boy who was never given a name is finally given one he can carry with pride. The Holy Knight - Chapter Four

In "Chapter Four," Andreia settles into the cathedral and discovers the most freedom he has ever known. Days blur into deep conversations with the clerk about the soul, the mind, free will, and the nature of man, alongside books he cannot put down. He has technically passed his training long ago but sees no reason to leave. Then the letters start arriving, one a week, then daily, then multiple times a day, from a princess who wants him by her side and is running out of patience. Her tone shifts from demanding to apologetic and he reads every one of them with detached amusement until one single line breaks his resolve entirely. He sneaks into the palace that night, finds a poison dagger on her table, and when she finally confronts him with all her rage, he refuses to bow, refuses to be owned, and offers instead something she was not expecting at all, a genuine promise on his own terms. This chapter is a turning point in both character and tone, as Andreia steps out of the cathedral and into a world that has no idea what to do with someone who cannot be controlled. 5. Episode 5

The Holy Knight - Chapter Five

In "Chapter Five," Andreia walks into the royal court and does the unthinkable. He refuses to bow to the king, refuses to serve the throne, and offers instead to serve the princess as a holy knight on his own terms, in front of the entire court. The king rejects it. Andreia reminds him that he was not asking for permission. The princess says aye before the echo of the question has faded from the air. From that moment, palace politics pull in around him like a current he cannot see the bottom of. He begins running quiet errands for both Mandalin and the visiting Princess Charla, navigating their schemes with the same calm precision he once used to navigate castle shadows. But beneath the surface something he did not plan for is growing and the warmth of a royal bed in a moment of poor judgment leaves him staring at the ceiling in the dark, knowing full well that none of it can lead anywhere good. This chapter is full of elegance, tension, and the quiet sadness of a man who sees too clearly to be fooled but not clearly enough to escape what is already in motion. The Holy Knight - Chapter Six

In "Chapter Six," everything Andreia built falls apart in a single royal decree. Accused of bribery, murder, and laying hands on the princess he served, he is dragged before the king while Mandalin weeps beside her father and says nothing in his defence. He is sent to the execution chamber without a trial, and when the fire clears, all that remains are scattered bones. On the other side of the world, another princess stands at the shore screaming into the sea and a body washes in with the tide. Andreia is alive, barely, and the woman who receives him is not his princess but the calm, soft-spoken Princess Charla of Crown Bone, who smiles at him like sunrise and immediately sets about making him feel at home in the most unsettling way possible. What follows is a chapter of warmth wrapped around quiet dread, as Andreia heals in a foreign palace, receives flowers and sweets and declarations of love from a girl who is nothing like what she appears, and begins to write a journal to keep himself from going entirely mad. This chapter is one of the story's most emotionally layered, capturing the particular weight of a man who has lost everything and is not quite sure whether what has replaced it is a second chance or another trap. 7. Episode 7

The Holy Knight - Chapter Seven

In "Chapter Seven," Andreia finds his footing in a new kingdom and a new role, moving from reluctant guest to trusted advisor as the two rival continents race to outmaneuver each other in a battle for territory and allies. In the other kingdom, Mandalin reaches an emotional reckoning with her father, a scene full of surprising tenderness as a king and his daughter finally speak honestly to each other about power, sacrifice, and the cost of being born into royalty. Andreia meanwhile navigates the abandoned continent on foot, faces down its people with patience and respect rather than force, and earns the trust of a chief in a society that has survived centuries untouched by progress. He sends back good news and, quietly, something else as well, a letter intended for someone in the stars. As the chapter closes, a spaceship hidden beneath a cathedral cathedral lifts off without a sound, and Andreia smiles to himself on a dusty road, finally sure that the one person he trusted most has received his message. This chapter is one of the book's richest, balancing political intrigue, genuine diplomacy, and the quiet heroism of a man doing good simply because he knows how.
