    The 2026 World U20 Championships went down in Eugene, Oregon, the 2nd time Hayward Field hosted the meet, with the last time being back in 2014 World U20s gives us a glimpse into the next generation of sprinters from around the world, and this year we saw historic performances including sprint triples, world records, field event drama, and massive upsets.     Is Noah Lyles The Most Impressive American Sprinter in Over 30 Years?

    At the 2026 USA Outdoor Championships, Noah Lyles won his 3rd national title in the 100m. His winning time of 9.79 seconds, not only tied his personal best, but was almost a full 10th of a second ahead of 2nd place. Noah has always been known as more of a 200m guy and is undeniably one of the best in history. But in the 100m, he started off a bit underestimated, had some mixed results. And in recent years he’s gotten much more consistent, and became the best sprinter in the country.
